But amazing show! Sorry if I acted like a fool in the crowd (if I did)...I just loved to here some of the songs live. And man...I was so tired... sang the lyrics wrong and stuff..everything was a blur!
This happens me at EVERY concert... some songs I just get so muddled up with the words... I don't understand it

Thanks for the help in getting home. Have fun at work tomorrow!
Hey did yas have fun last night? What time did it finish up? My flight was a bit of a disaster... it was delayed by half an hour... then we were taxying around for another half an hour... then they announced they were experiencing a 'slight' technical difficulty! wtf's a SLIGHT technical difficulty? So we were sitting another hour on the plane while they sorted it out. I'd a good laugh with the guy next to me though... I think we sorted out the entire world's problems . At the beginning I was telling him I'm not a nervous flyer EVER and I actually LIKE turbulence but then when we were approaching Dublin I had to admit I was a wee bit scared

that this was one of the most exceptional setlists there has ever been, that the sound could have been better and that we all absolutely love the band and dont really know why and how can you love a band that much!!
ps. The last time I saw tthem was 11 years ago in Warsaw 01.11.2007 and guess what, the opening and closing songs were the same ones... Both my favorites, btw
Holy shit ! That was a great show with an amazing setlist. I'm still hanging on cloud 9.
4th PJ concert (that's not enough I know) and here's the list of songs I heard for the 1st time live : Low Light, I Got Shit, Faitfull, Green Disease, Immortality, Present Tense, SOLAT, Inside Job, No More, Bushleaguer, Crazy Mary, Indifference. Almost half the setlist !
PJ virus was in me before and still is. I don't need any antidote
not a single song from vs??? try getting clued up you fool!!!
what a lame review
Very lame indeed :(
I've commented, not sure it'll be posted though, they vet them first. Wasn't rude or anything, quoted from the article and basically pointed out how silly it was

Hi all guys, I have been thinking about what to write here since the gig ended Monday night, but I won't bother you with it... I just want to say that from the moment I arrived at 3:30 until the moment I left and went back to my room I had the best time ever with some of the most beautiful people in the whole world, we were all absolutely fantastic, perfectly organised, a perfect example of friendship and love and I am sure the band felt it from the moment they stepped on stage. I think we all agree on the fantastic setlist and the explosive mood of the band, but all I want to talk about is us, all of us especially in the first rows... absolutely amazing! A gig can be a great gig if the audience is great, not only the band.
I love you all guys and I hope I will see you again next week in Copenhagen!

Do you wear glasses and have a tall, ginger boyfriend??
That sounds like it could have been me - I wear glasses and was with a tall, ginger friend. What did you look like? The only people I remember were a tall guy with glasses who was with a girl with a funky hat on and a bunch of around 6 lads who were having a blast!
Anyway, if it was me, then I'm so sorry! Obviously done with no intent, I was just letting my soft out!

That said, the fact of the loud and messy sound is beginning to pale in significance. The good memories of the incredible setlist are what have stuck.
I NEED to hear that boot though, I want to hear how tight the band were. I've got a feeling they would've had a hard time with their foldback monitors, which often makes for a messy gig musically. Believe me, I know.
I'm really hoping any recording sounds as tight as Reading did.

Me too!!!!! I've been looking at the vids on youtube to get my fix, but obviously quality of those is quite crap (no disrespect to the tapers). Still... puts me back in the arena.
I saw you up there Mark, waved like a mad person but you didn't see me :(. Though it was loud, strangely enough, my ears have been absolutely fine!

You saw me?! Oh crap I probably looked like a mad man. I was looking out for you, Dunk, V, Chime, Byrnzie, Keith, anyone I recognised really. Didn't see any of you!
I learned there are probably pros and cons to being up there in the disabled seats - really bloody close, which was great, but it sounds like the sound would have been far less muddy further back.

Yeah, they seem to not be too eager to post my response. Wankers.
This is what i wrote yesterday:
Perhaps Jon Fletcher should pay a little more attention to the concert he's reviewing. Though Fletcher states that there was not a single track from Pearl Jam's second LP Vs., the show concluded with that album's final track, Indifference. More than that, Fletcher completely missed the bigger pciture of this gig. The entire floor of 3,000 strong was sold only to fan club members from literally around the world, as well as Brits who had waited seven years for the band to return. These were the people Pearl Jam was playing to last night, not the people who have not picked up a Pearl Jam cd after Vs. Last night, Vedder and co. played one of their most unique setlists for a crowd that ate it up. Far from self-indulgent, last night was a thank you to the fans who have stuck with Pearl Jam through their 17 year history. Pearl Jam is one of the best live acts in the world and they maintain this by picking up on something that British bands (save Radiohead) don't get: The best way to build up a loyal following by keeping your setlists unique and unpredictable from one night to another. Keep them guessing, keep them excited. This was more than the case last night and the fans- be it from England, Croatia, Australia, Portugal, Italy or the USA- loved it.
If Fletcher wants a greatest hits parade, I suggest he stays at home and pops Ten on his stereo- or perhaps go see the Kaiser Chiefs.

Excellent show! was my second after Leeds last year.
One point that annoyed me as the stupid fucking 'dont gimmie no lip' sign that was held up infront of me, if i was just a foot further forwards i would have reached it and pulled it out of their hands. luckly after some people shouting at them they took the sign away.
other than that i loved this show, way better than leeds last year, at Leeds the crowd were too far away from the band and allot of people who wernt there to see PJ around.
1) Leeds festival - 25/08/2006
2) wembely london - 18/06/2007
What a brilliant gig, words fail me, thought I would pass out with ecstacy when they opened with Long Road.
I must be a bit of a wus though cos I had to get out of the pit during Comatose - I was in the centre about 6 rows back but I was spending so much energy on a) not be crushed b) keeping my feet on the ground, thought I'd better get out and enjoy it from a safer distance! I understand there will be moshing at a PJ concert but don't understand why people have to get pissed out of their brains and push like mad (I was in about the same position in Dublin and it was brilliant! - no hassle at all). My hubby followed me out and managed to lose a shoe! lmao (managed to get it back later when the show ended).
Anyway this didn't spoil what was the best show i've seen so far (my third). I just could not believe the set list Lowlight, I got Shit, FAITHFULL, GREEN DISEASE, DOWN, PRESENT TENSE to name a few of the songs that i have longed to hear. I sure i heard a muffled Ghost during soundcheck as well!
It was nice to see Belfast1 and Dave Brown who i met in the Q in Dublin last year as well - saw them again when looking for my hubby's shoe at the end!
GOD I HOPE THEY DO AN OFFICIAL BOOT!!
