This one really pisses me off. When an "underdog" team wins and then someone when they get interviewed says "Nobody thought we could win" THAT"S BULLSHIT!!!! So what they are saying their fans didn't think they could win too or not one sports writer thought they were going to win? I highly fucking doubt it! :x

I hate it when I am at the grocery store and after all my food is scanned the cashier asks "is that everything?" Of course it is!! If i wanted anything else I would have put it up on the conveyer belt with everything else!
Also when I was a kid if I was going too far with something my mom would always say "you're pushing the envelope!" Used to drive me crazy!!

"As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines."
At the office: "We've been playing phone tag." Used when both parties leave voicemail for each other back and forth. It was probably clever the first time we all heard it. Decades later, it just sounds dumb. "At least we have a job." Yes, I realize we are still employed after the economy went to shit but that doesn't mean I have to be happy with a much bigger workload when I was getting underpaid to begin with.
Sports analysts: "Good teams just find a way to win." This is used usually when a team with a good record plays a sloppy game but manages to win in the end. Instead of the analyst actually breaking down plays & explaining what worked to make the team win, they cop out to this nonsense. "They just wanted it more." This is just one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
In general: "The proof is in the pudding." That's not even the correct way to say this cliche.
And one that isn't so much a cliche, but when girls use the same word twice to emphasize that whatever they're talking about doesn't actually count. "Well, we went out on a date but it wasn't a DATE date."
Can't fucking stand this one! I know exactly how far behind I am and you would have to be pretty fucking slow/lazy/generally incompetent for this to apply.
Anything you lose from being honest You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

Evil is the root of all evil.

that shit annoys me
Well, no fucking shit. If you keep looking after you found something then you are a god-damned idiot.
Also when I was a kid if I was going too far with something my mom would always say "you're pushing the envelope!" Used to drive me crazy!!

Push the envelope can be cool!
It's not really a cliche, but it drives me nuts whenever I ask an elderly person how they are and their response is: "Fair to middlin'." Wtf is that?
"That's x amount of time I can't get back"
You can't get it back no matter what you've spent it on, ya bloomin' idiot.

"Thinking outside the box."
Fuck off, if you were really thinking outside the box you never would have used that stupid phrase. :-L
Bullshit. Sometimes that is true, but I find most people feign acceptance rather than muster the courage to deal with a problem
"we gave it 110%" did you think that is even possible? why can't you just say gave 100%. is 100% not enough?
