Happy for the ones who got to see this one. I should have been there. I wll be next time.
What else can I say? I cried like a baby...best show of the tour.
I'll write more when I get home tomorrow.
Thanks for an unbelievable show! Amazing, just, wow....

AMAZING show...
to get Pilate, Glorified G, Bee Girl, Mankind, Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, Smile, and then Little Wing...simply amazing...
and as someone pointed out, 6 songs off No Code
they were ON tonight...get energy, sharp
and Pacific Coliseum has the best sound of any venue I've been in
great night!
I thought it would be a long shot to hear Garden, but wow...just wow. Crown of Thrones was bloody brilliant on so many levels.
Stone and Jeff swapped on Smile, and then Matt and Stone swapped on Ledbetter. Mike looked like a whole different guy from 2 years ago, he was running around everywhere pointing to the fans rocking out. Ed almost fell flat on his face countless times jumping around.
Also this was THE best Vancouver crowd I have ever seen and the boys fed off that immensely. The house lights came on for Rocking In The Free World and stayed on till the end.
Also I believe that the set was changed last minute as Ed's roadie ran out and wrote something on all the set lists just before the show. Also, I don't expect them to play Seattle anytime soon, because he tore them apart again!
I want the bootleg now!
Just amazing, few quick notes, given to fly, hilarious shout out: Made it cross the border, smoked a joint in BC!
And on the other side after a show of hands showed the first 15 rows to be all Seattle, Eddie kinda ripped into some folks, saying the energy was low, maybe he should move some folks from the back up close. That got a roar too!
Garden, present tense, wish list, BEE GIRL, PILATE, SMILE!!! Chloe CROWN! Ooooh my.
And then, an absolutely horrific poster. My poster curse is in good standing still! Sorry everyone.... But the Vancouver bird shirt rocked!

Highlights for me were definitely Chloe/Crown of Thorns, and Alive. Alive made me cry. And I love the attention. The band gives the crowd so much attention and love. I liked when Eddie reflected the spotlight off his guitar to each and every section in the Coliseum and then focused it on the Canadian flag. Nice touch.
I love how grounded and thankful they all are. As am I. Thankful that is! I don't know how grounded I am.
xo
I couldn't even remember the name of Mankind only the lyric:s "it's all just inadvertent...!" That's how rare that one is.
All in all a great show, thought I prefered "09
Highlight for me was Present Tense...loved it@
Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns and just the awesome sound that came from the band tonight. We sat in Section 30 and there were about 10 people around us losing their shit....the rest of the folks just sat and clapped. :(
Was worth the trip from LA - Vancouver was a great destination 'see' and the band closed out the tour in Style!
Thanks All!
I'd frame that shit without washing it. The fan was in Row 1 too.
Tonight's reasons, the rarities ... Crown of Thorns was magnificent (actually got to hear it twice as we walked up just as they were soundchecking it). Got my first Hail Hail of this run which, I could hear every night, always a good night what that starts things off. Ole isn't really a song I'm a huge fan of, but seeing Ed go next-level mental made it damn cool. Got some other great ones like Garden, Smile, Off He Goes and SOLAT which really rounded this set of three shows off nicely.
What kind of bummed me out .... first, the crowd ... between Seattle in 2009 and this show, it really feels like the home town crowds don't bring it as much as you'd think they would. Edmonton really felt like a *much* more appreciative crowd.
But worse than that, the sound. I'm going to disagree with the earlier post ... man, it sounded like tonight's show was being filtered through mud. Maybe I stand alone in this criticism, but though Edmonton and Calgary had better sound (even after hearing Calgary is known for bad sound).
But those critiques don't outweigh the fact that I had a blast tonight and this was an incredible run ... I'm you're newest and biggest fan Canada, you're *all* so damn fantastic in my book. Will share beers, tunes and poutine with you anytime.
"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez
Porch was incredible. SOLAT tonight absolutely slayed me.
Crown of Thorns was gorgeous. So was Little Wing.
And it was the first time I heard Ole, which promises great things to come. It sounds really fresh.
Phenomenal show.
It's always a let down to see a tour end (my hubby and I say we're going home from Pearl Jam summer camp), but I'm so high from this show that it'll take a long while for the sadness to set in.
Words cannot express how much I love this band. We followed them to Canada from (our home in) Florida, but I'm sure I'd follow PJ to the ends of the Earth. Much gratitude and love, Pearl Jam.
- ripping through Hail, Hai, Save You, Animal, and Got Some... perfect start
- loved Eddie's "made it through the border, smoked a joint in BC" line during Given to Fly.
- Pilate (and No Code love in general)
- Garden was rock solid tonight, and definitely one of my faves
- seen Present Tense 5 times now, but tonight really got me, it was incredible
- finally got to see Glorifed G, loved it
- Bee Girl was obviously pretty cool, as was Mankind
- Ed going bat shit crazy during Ole
- Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns was unreal... adding Chloe Dancer makes it even more amazing
- Stone on drums, Matt on guitar, both looked to be having fun
- band jumping in on Little Wing, did not see that coming, it was pretty cool
Lowlights:
- wasn't feeling Small Town as an opener, never seen them open with it before, maybe I was just crushed at not hearing Oceans
- crowd... wasn't there, HUGE ovations for Evenflow, Alive, Just Breathe et al., but aside from the few people losing their minds for the other stuff, the crowd was pretty weak. Second time I have seen them in Vancouver, and the '09 crowd went nuts at everything, this time around it was pretty timid... more beer vendors at GM Place maybe?
- Setlist was so good I nearly pissed myself because I didn't want to leave my seat
I agree with this too. Really unclear, muddled sound.
jeff played guitar....stone played bass...matt played guitar...stone played drums, we sang happy birthday to george. holy shit.
song highlights for me: unemployable, glorified, BEE GIRL, mankind, smile, present tense...
THANK YOU GUYS!!! Thank you 10c...row 14 floor Stone's side 166xxx
thanks to Nastasja, Zebra27, Reflectedfromafar, Gus, GD274660...what an epic night/weekend
Given to Fly: made it across the border, smoked a joint in BC...
peace, love and pearl jam!
safe travels everyone
Ed: Seattle 1 & 2 2011, Bridge School 2011
By save you I was wincing.... Shrugged my shoulders and went with it. I will say, mike really screamed through on some leads, and at one point I recall looking around going, oh man thats a screaming solo ... And it was stone! For maybe 20 seconds (besides acoustic) best I've ever heard stone in a live show!
But gawd, the set list, just jaw dropping for me! So much fun!
How could you possibly just stand there and do nothing? I understand you payed for your ticket but come on this is the greatest fucking band in the world!! Aside from that the set looked awesome!
To Live......................
In the present tense.

Mudhoney was a great opener and McCready even joined them for a track. Pearl Jam obviously didn't disappoint. With such a huge catalogue to choose from, there was no point trying to guess what they would play. I enjoyed this show probably more than any PJ show I had seen before (this was #12). The band were totally on, and the sound was crisp throughout. Being that this was as close as they were going to get to Seattle, it had a real hometown feel to it. And we didn't even have to cross the bastard border!
