I find that even the commentators I start out liking, I start disliking them eventually. Like Gruden and his partner on MNF? Started out liking them, but now they're getting on my nerves. They should rotate sports commentators so they don't have the same gig all the time. Same with these 2 meatheads on SNF. They bug me now. :fp:

I am really beginning to detest Chris Collingsworth's voice. I mean, a lot of the things he says, makes sense, but just the way he speaks, with that smarmy, condescending voice - I can't stand it.

Al Michaels, I like, he is old school and has a voice I can tune out

and I hate theme songs for football broadcasts.

haha.... I always liked Summrall and Madden, but I can see how he could be annoying

I don't like Phil Simms, just such an odd accent, always sounds like he is really struggling to speak, like someone on a phone with a bad connection trying to talk loud so you can hear them

Nantz and Simms are a brutal combo. Just awful to listen too.

    Collinsworth is bad.

I like Greg Gumbel, Mike Tirico and John Gruden. I enjoy the one game a year that Chris Berman does. And I know I'm in the minority but I didn't hate Dierdorf.

Tirico and Gruden should do MNF together forever. I learn things listening to them. They're interesting - sometimes more interesting than the game itself.

And I know I'm in the minority, but I like Buck and Aikman too. There's a guy that kind of sounds like Anderson Cooper. I think he works with. Marv Albert's son. Those guys are okay I guess.

Joe Buck called the "Helmet Catch" with as much enthusiasm as someone who caught a 3 yard slant pass in a preseason game.

That series of events where Eli got tossed around by the Pat’s D linemen on a 3rd and 5 with one minute left in the Super Bowl and then just fired off a pass to who knows what that was miraculously caught be a man who would go on to never catch another pass in the NFL again AND prevented the apocalypse of the earth by preventing the Pats to go undefeated deserved a …

Still waiting for Rodney Harrison to knock that ball away. And for the holding call which never came.

Woah woah, you like Berman as an announcer??? That 1 game a year that he does is AWFUL...can't stand that guy. Wish he would just retire already like Dierdorf did.

I like it because he only does it once a year...and, because I'm on the east coast, I'm usually asleep well before half time. It is a very small dose. :-)

Awesome post. And was that Joe Buck who was calling that game/play? If so, then yeah it was awful.

LMAO, actually though, Phil is the problem. I think he's so bad that he drags Jim down with him.

The other reason I laughed so hard is because as soon as I saw the thread at the top I knew it was because of Phil Simms.

Ya think? I thought Al Michaels and John madden were the best ever. Buck is ok, I like him better in baseball. Dream team is a stretch. IMO.....

Biggest throw by Luck all game, on third down. Most exciting play of the game for the Colts and these 2 bozos made it sound boring.

Lol. I hate sims. I've always hated him. Nance is blah. I can tolerate hearing his voice, he's just boring.

You hate a lot of things, but I agree. I'd rather listen to the MNF guys right now. Fuck, even Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth would be a huge improvement.

Sims can't say filed goal. He says feel go. It's very annoying.

Just to be clear are you trying to say 'field goal'?
