I retract my previous statement. The Blackhawks can jump all the way to 5th with a win tomorrow (with the tiebreakers), pushing Nashville to 6th. Damn you Western Conference!

    I like this guy.

I'm happy just making the playoffs. We started the season 3-9-2 and it took us something until like December to finally get a home win or something crazy like that, but since, we've been one of the highest point scoring teams in the league. I don't know if Buffalo beats Philly, but they should not be taken lightly.

Chicago has to lose this game in OT/SO to face Vancouver, or if they lose this in regulation and Dallas doesn't win. This is insane, like MFCarrisa said, if Chicago wins then they will jump to 5th. Wow!

I'm not all that worried about it. The referees are doing everything they can right now to make sure the Blackhawks make the playoffs. It's sad that the NHL has to change the rules mid-game to try to promote their "face of the NHL" and get them into the playoffs.

Whatever pittance of a playoff run the Blackhawks manufacture, it will be their last for a long time. Once again, they've recklessly spent so close to the salary cap they'll be lucky to even field a full team next year.

Im not too confident with Buffalo's ability to beat the Flyers in 7 games. Especially if Pronger comes back, their defense will be too strong. If he is back and the Flyers get a strong forecheck on the Sabres' suspect defense... it could be Flyers in 5.

The biggest X factor is goaltending. If Miller is rested and can make some big saves, and the Flyers continue to have problems in net... and the Sabres get an edge on special teams... look out for an upset.

Are you planning on going to any games? In Philly, that is. Do they give you a lot of shit for being a Sabres fan?

Sounds like game 1 is gonna be thursday. flyers have been awful for the last 6 weeks, so who knows what to expect from them. I still think they handle the sabres in 5 or 6.

I'd love to see the rangers in round 2

Patrick Kane is going to carry them to the cup. With a chest like that, he could probably carry anything.

The Hawks lost most of their depth in the offseason. Luongo should be fine without Byfuglien's massive ass screening him.

I still thin Detroit is the team to beat in the West. The Sharks blow it every year, I think the injuries for the Canucks will cost them in the playoffs

I think the Canucks will win it all, they are a deep team especially on defence. Detroit will win if they can score 5-6 goals every night, there defence is a little long in the tooth and playing every other night might take it's toll on them. I think if Pittsburgh get Crosby back then they'll be in the finals, I don't believe the coach when he says Crosby probably won't be back, if that was the case he wouldn't be travelling with the team.
