Santa Barbara Bowl on a Saturday night in the summer!

    Sounds like a plan!

Long Beach on a Friday......bit of a traffic hassle, but still well worth it!

Wiltern on a Wednesday is good too!

Now, just gotta get lucky scoring tickets!

These tickets are going to sell out super fast. I hope I can snag a pair to Boston or in the alternative Providence. :?

I bet no tickets will be left on day 2.

Yeah, the part of the announcement regarding "left over tickets" made me laugh out loud. There won't be any left overs 10 minutes after each show goes on sale

Was excited initially, would rather see PJ but I thought it would be fun to see Eddie.

Then I saw the ticket prices. WTF? I maybe would pay that to see PJ but not EV on his own, I like the solo stuff but not that much.

I don't understand why ticket prices are so much for everything now. I know that a lot of artists are getting screwed on album sales due to ease of internet "sharing" but does this mean the rest of us have to make up for this theft when we want to see a live show? Every time my husband and I go to a show it costs us approx $500. Average $100-200 for tickets, $60 gas money cause no one goes north of SF in CA, $120 for food/drinks, $150 for hotel if you want to drink, oh and lets include PTO because all shows are typically on a week night. It adds up, so you better like who you're seeing.

Seems like we haven't come a long ways from PJ's 1995 "Fuck TicketMaster" tour. The fight that PJ took on against TicketMaster and the monopoly they lorded over artists which was leading to ticket gouging. They put up a mighty damn good fight but lost because all the other Alternative/Grunge bands at the time refused to join PJ, mostly because they were all monetarily benefiting from the price gouging. It all boiled down to greed.

I sincerely hope PJ does not become one of these bands who think people will pay anything to see them. I also hope people stand up to being screwed on ticket prices, regardless of how much you may like or love them. I love PJ...I have a PJ tattoo on my chest, their music has been the soundtrack to my life, but that doesn't make me a sap.

Needless to say I am disappointed but I still love EV and PJ, hope these prices don't continue.

I am a little bummed Eddie isn't coming closer to Columbus, OH, but I definitely can't complain at all since Pearl Jam has shown Ohio a lot of love over the years (17 total shows in Ohio alone since 1992 if the tour history page is correct) including 2 shows last year (Columbus & Cleveland and even Noblesville, Indiana (where they have been 4 times over the years) was within 3 hours from Columbus). I have to decide if I want to drive to Detroit (3 hours and 45 minutes) and spend the $150 to $162 for 2 tickets AND finding someone to go with me to Detroit, MI and possibly stay the night (on a Sunday night at that). Plus I would have to decided whether I would get a hotel and spend the night or drive back 3 hours and 45 min after the show (which would be rough). The Ticket price is pretty high, paying that much for a PJ show is one thing, but Eddie solo as well? Sheesh. Not to mention the fact that the seats aren't seniority based and you don't know what you are going to get. I sure would like to see Eddie solo though. Decisions decisions....

DUDE! Just go! :) 4 hours of driving is nothing compared to any of us in the southwest who might try to make a show!

    Okay, you convinced me. :)

wow this is bullshit i know everyone gets tired of us southerners bitchin, but do we not pay the same amount of money for shirts 10c fees cds dvds (id say shows but we havnt had many in the last 10 years) do we not deserve atleast a chance to see our favorite band. im not saying they have to play my city, but atleast play somewhere in decent traveling distance? i saw someone post on here why do i even need a 10c membership and im starting to agree. whats the point if i dont ever get to use its perks, and when i do its takes a month to get it. i saw edved in nashville when he came last time round but i had to pay 140$ a ticket because it sold out in 3 minutes, so its not a money thing, his shows sell out, im giving it one more tour annoucment and then im done. ill turn my full attention to the avett brothers :( :x

    my thoughts:

    * first of all - the ticket prices listed does NOT include service charges ... expect the total to be around $200 for the pair ...

    * secondly, i agree with people who say $100 (rounded) is a lot of money ... the issue is whether you consider it good value ... to each their own on that front ...

    * thirdly ... i would have to say to those that have not seen EV solo ... it is absolutely worth it ... just look at the fanviews ... the show is magical ... you should do whatever you can to go once ...

    * lastly ... i feel bad for all the fans that don't live near traditional PJ markets ... they definitely have their preferences ... you would think its related to ensuring sell outs but who knows ... maybe it's something else ... you would think at least a show in atlanta and one in texas somewhere would at least let them know what kind of support they might have ... same goes for europe and everywhere else ...

Funny, there are 3 shows in Southern CA and 1 in Oakland (Basically SF) and technically Northern CA. California is a big damn state. I live in Grass Valley which is an hour north of Sacramento...NO shows ever go above SF. Like the top half of the state is always forgotten. But whenever I see tour dates, it's always the same. True, but its a little bit strange because I know its so much Pearl Jam love in scandinavia. Tickets would have been sold out in minutes if they had come to Sweden and Norway. Its 11 years since last time they played in Scandinavia, so hopefully they will visit us next year.

I currently (and with no disrespect to the people of the state, but thankfully for not much longer) live in North Carolina and I've seen PJ 7 times in the last 2 years and EV twice. If we are talking about an EV solo tour then as has already been stated on this thread, he was in Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis in 2009. I'm sorry for the good people of Colorado, New Mexico, etc. and I get it. It's annoying when your favorite band goes very long stretches without playing in your "area" and not everyone can afford to travel long distances to see them, but bitching every single time 10C makes an announcement and creating 200 page threads about how nothing from 10C/PJ/EV is ever good enough is getting really old. We go through this every single time something is announced. Next week we will 200 threads about how "awful" the club is because certain people couldn't get through the pre-sale to get tickets. The band can't be everywhere at once, not everyone can sit in the front row, and unfortunately in today's times you're not getting in the door for $20. Of all of the bands/fanclubs around, there aren't many who take better care of it's members than this one. I'll shut up now and simply say thanks to 10C and PJ for everything they have done for ALL of us over the past 20 years.

What the hell? This board has become the biggest bitch/moan place I've ever seen. So get up and go see a show in some other town. WHATEVER. I live in SF and there is a show in Oakland... but guess what... I'm probably gonna go to Seattle and see the show there. Stuff all this bitching and stack some chips an go see the guy if you wanna see him. Or don't. But don't rain on the parade. It's a tour with a lot of dates. I'm stoked. Sorry your town got shafted. Move or something.
