Really good opening batch of songs (Small Town, Grievance, Corduroy, Hail Hail, Save You). Later in the main set Off He Goes, Love Boat Captain and Thin Air is a nice segment even with the mess-up midway through Thin Air - Ed telling the crowd something along the lines of "we don't play if that often". The outro of 1/2 Full is just mindblowing and I think the version of I Am A Patriot is my favourite from this tour so far.
1st Encore is fairly short, just the four songs but Black and Alive are the highlights. 2nd encore is just the two songs - Yellow Ledbetter and Rockin' In The Free World, Sleater-Kinney joining in on the latter.

Release opens for the first time on this part of the tour, followed by Even Flow (see putting Release>Even Flow in the SA shows this year was nothing new! ). Riot Act double-header is next with Save You and then Help Help, the guys taking another go at playing this. It's a song I love so I don't understand why they never play it. Given To Fly is before another Riot Act double-header of Cropduster and I Am Mine. I Got Shit gets busted out for the first time on this leg of the tour. The main set ends on fire with Alive, Porch and Blood!
The 1st encore begins with Gimme Some Truth, played for the first time in 2003. Love Boat Captain and Betterman quickly follow, Betterman with a Save You Later tag. Glorified G gets another play, sounding better than the 1st play in West Palm Beach a few nights before. Rearviewmirror closes the 1st encore.
The 2nd encore is again short and sweet (well maybe) - it's Sleater Kinney back out for Fortunate Son and Rockin' In The Free World.

The band's sound remains me something of the 2000-tour. They play slower than the recent years. There are more subtleties within the songs here and there. Which also helps Eddie's vocal work much easier and he really shines through this slower pace.
You just cannot help appreciate how much effort the band is putting in. The band apparently has been on a mission to make a memorable tour.
