Another good show of the US 2010 tour. First off, and a lot of people will think I'm crazy for saying this, but I just don't really like Oceans as an opener that much and it's at the bottom of the pile in terms of what I think are the best openers. But anyway, Oceans starts things off which is rare, and is followed up by a rousing Given To Fly, which is really a good combination together. Third song in is Corduroy, and it's a more slowed down version which I like to hear as opposed when they try playing it way too fast. A lot of good moments in this show, Ed making references on how they are officially calling PJ a religion as a joke and the #1 commandmant - "Don't Be An Asshole." He talks a lot about playing in Columbus since the early days and the crowd is great (PJ should play the Midwest more).
Other highlights were Marker In The Sand being played for the only time in 2010 and Alone makes the set toward the end of the main set. After Just Breathe (yawn) to start the first encore, it ends great with Black, SOLAT, Spin The Black, and Go which is played waaaaaay too fast IMO, which makes it tough to really enjoy.
The second encore starts out with a lot of emotion as Ed talks about the missing 10c member from Columbus named Brian and dedicates the fist song to him - Come Back. You see Hail Hail make the second encore which is unique. Good dueling session between Mike and Boom on Crazy Mary. I wish they would've included Mike's preset to show on the boot with Dead Flowers and That's All Right.
Overall a very decent boot worth a listen, but not close to one of my favorites of 2010.

Reaching back today... Hartford 10/02/96. Crazy good. Eddie having to do a lot of crowd control. Must have been intense. It's been awhile since i cried during small town but this one got me. Eddie emotional too. They need to bring back in my tree and who you are. I'll sing back up on who you are if that's the problem so kick ass. Also love noise of carpet inside blood. Love to hear an older show now and then and this one did not disappoint. Made me feel 23 again feels like yesterday

Highlights here for me are Rearviewmirror 3rd song in, Sad, God's Dice, I Got ID and Wishlist in the main set. Off He Goes in the 1st encore is delightful and Even Flow unusually ends the 1st encore. The 2nd encore is abit hit and miss with Once, Alive and Fuckin' Up all error-strewn but Yellow Ledbetter with a full band tag of Little Wing is excellent.

Good overall start to 2013, and besides the fact it feels good to hear the band for the first time in 2013 and the quality of the boot sounds good - nothing really jumped out at me and took my attention from this boot. The band sounded fairly tight for the first show of 2013 and Ed sounded overall pretty decent, but nothing really jumped out at me. Best part of the show was Eldery Woman to open > Why Go > Interstellar > Corduroy.

Buenos Aires 2013
The crowd still doesn't match that of the BA crowd in 2011, but still a solid boot and and much more enjoyable than Sao Paulo. Good overall performance, high energy from the band (especially Ed) as compared to Sao Paulo. And it's very nice to see Ed changing up the set list a bit early in 2013. Love seeing Even Flow early in the set and I think it's suited much better there than in the middle of the set. Love the opening performances of Release > Even Flow > Lukin > Corduroy > In Hiding. Ed's It's OK tag all in Spanish is great.....one of the little things amongst the list of many that make him the best front man in the business and a legend.
The encore starts with DTE and is followed by Animal, which is unusual by today's standards. Good version of Black and the crowd is extremely loud during RITF going into Y Led to close the show. I think the BA 2011 boot is better, but still a solid boot and show. Like I said, great to see Ed changing up the set list already in 2013.

Agreed, BA 2011 is overall abit better than 2013. One thing you noted I particularly want to reiterate is that opening 4 songs. When I saw that set on the night of the show I thought someone had incorrectly reported the set list. Having even flow at the beginning of the set works quite well to build energy or sustain it. Anxious to see how Santiago 13 will sound on tues.

Stunning start to the show with the band on fire for Severed Hand and Corduroy. Veddertown is right when he says this is the best Severed Hand ever!!! Corduroy is up there too, fantastic performance. Guitar problems hit Hail Hail early on but the band recovers. Last Exit and World Wide Suicide complete a blistering start to the gig. In Hiding is brilliant, another top performance and after Even Flow the band perform Education for only the 2nd time ever. A quick run through of Evolution and Jeremy before Army Reserve and then Ed dedicates the next song to 'the guy has who been to every show for the last 2 weeks. After hearing this song he won't need to come tomorrow'. They play Gimme Some Truth and whilst its not a song I particularly enjoy I thought this performance of the song was very good. Whipping and Life Wasted complete an excellent main set.
As encores go, the 1st encore is something special. For the 1st time since Benaroya Hall, Thin Air is played. As you'd expect it is brilliant and you're left thinking why don't they play this anymore. Thumbing My Way is next and again it's excellent - another song that isn't played any longer. Next up is another song that they no longer play! It's All Or None and its breathless. Black is next followed by Wasted Reprise leading into Better Man and as expected the crowd take over the 1st two verses. Porch completes a super 1st encore - definitely up there with the Grand Rapids 1st encore.
The 2nd encore begins with Blood followed by a fairly standard trio of Alive, Rockin In The Free World and Yellow Ledbetter to finish an excellent show.
