Radiohead's 'The King Of Limbs' album to feature eight songs?
Radiohead's new album 'The King Of Limbs' is being tipped to feature an eight-song tracklisting.
According to fansite Ateaseweb.com the Japanese arm of the band's album sales website, Thekingoflimbbs.jp, provided the information. The download and CD versions of the record offered through the 'newspaper album' version of the release were reportedly listed as containing eight tracks.
The information has been removed from the site since. The band's spokesperson told NME that they would not be releasing tracklisting details ahead of the release.
If the information rings true this would make 'The King Of Limbs' the Radiohead album containing the least amount of songs to date.
The album will be released as a paid-for download on Saturday (February 19), then on CD and 12-inch vinyl on March 28. The 'newspaper album' version, featuring a CD, vinyl and artwork sheets, will be out on May 9.
Ateaseweb.com crashed under the weight of hits yesterday (14) morning as fans searched for information about the new album.

Is anyone else lost when it comes to this band? I just don't get it. Am I looking in the wrong place? I tried The Bends and OK Computer.
Is it an acquired taste? I have tried to like them, but it has escaped me so far.
Yeah I think you're a lost cause, those are definitely the most accessible records. The Bends in particular, nothing difficult to get into there, it's the definition of a solid record. Go listen to the title track again.....

Oh I know. I just know that I've dismissed bands in the past after a couple of listens, only to go back to them at a later point and really gotten into them.

if you dont get those two get out now!!
I love those albums - and loved that radiohead period. Glastonbury 1997 was still potentially the finest show i ever saw from a band. mesmorising headliners, and truely jaw dropping performance - despite OKC not even being out til the following month.
Anything since that I have not connected with one bit. In fact I have taken a real dislike to. Im not gonna be all critical of it and say its bullshit, because clearly many people love it too, but it a crying shame to me that this band went the way it did. beats, synth, strange vocals, at times its a fuzzy hippy distorted noise with shreaking vocals......I remain totally convinced that if Kid A was their debut they wouldnt have ever been noticed.
+1 same for me. I'm so greedy I don't even want to wait until the 19th to hear it, I want it now!!
Amen, I've been checking my preorder every day to see if maybe they decide to release it even earlier, lol.
I ordered it too. I love the fact that all of us ordered already without even seeing a tracklisting. I guess I just have that much faith in those guys.

a setlist would mean nothing. No ones heard the songs and so song titles are meaningless. And reallly anyway...
ITS RaDIOHEAD!!!!!
To be fair there are a number of new songs that the band played on the In Rainbows tour (such as "Super Collider") and some that Thom has played at solo shows ("The Daily Mail," "Lotus Flower," "Give up the Ghost.") Bootleg recordings are available if you wish to give em' a listen.
Otherwise I'm totally digging this surprise thing.

I agree 100%. I don't even know why bands release setlists. :? What's the point, unless you already know some of the songs???

I remember hearing that Glastonbury set on the radio back then, and getting totally blown away by it - discovering the band. I could live without Kid A and Amnesiac (should have made one album with the highlights!) - but I think Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows are both works of genius. In Rainbows...... so glad I have had that album in my life. Looking forward to hearing the new one.

In Rainbows was definitely an improvement....totally agree, but HTTT was a major miss for me too.
even so I will definitely be checking out the new release too....Radiohead could turn either way again so who knows where they will go with this.
One thing is certain, that 1997 performance may well be in my top 3 shows and maybe number 1 for as long as i live, the moment, the time, and the show were extraordinary. and I have the most vivid memory of it too unlike many other shows. Creep was hailed as the highlight, but it was a constant highlight from start to finish.

Radiohead have brought forward the digital release of their new album "The King Of Limbs" by 24 hours with the album now being sent to those who pre-ordered it earlier this week. It is also available for new orders through http://www.radiohead.com at a fixed price of £6. A special edition is also available.
With everything ready on their website, the band decided to bring forward the release by a day rather than wait until the planned date of Saturday, Feb 19 to deliver the music.

Contains the most moving little vocal accent I've ever heard at 2m13s
HTTT is their best besides The Bends and OkC.
