According to XL Records: "We're very pleased to announce that the new Radiohead album, 'The King of Limbs' will be available on CD and 12" Vinyl on March 28th."
To the best of my knowledge, it will just be the 'newspaper' edition that's limited.Leeds 2006, London 2007, Hartford 2008, London Shepherds Bush 2009, London O2 2009, Dublin 2010, London Hyde Park 2010, Amsterdam 1 2012, Amsterdam 2 2012, Berlin 1 2012, EV solo London 30/7/2012, Berlin 2014, Stockholm 2014, Milton Keynes 2014, Amsterdam 1 2018, London 1 2018, London 2 2018, EV solo Dublin 2019, London 1 2022, London 2 2022, New York City 2022

Just pre-ordered the $50 version!
What's different about this record is that the band didn't road-test any of the material so it'll all be fresh. Thom Yorke played a bunch of new solo songs but nobody has any idea what the full band versions of any of them will sound like. Makes it all the more exciting for me. The album title and artwork seems rather spooky, leading me to believe this record will have a darker tone than In Rainbows.Post edited by tcaporale on0 -

Huge news! Loved the In Rainbows box - they take such great care and attention to detail in the artwork, so this "Newspaper Album" (whatever that means) is probably gonna be insanely cool... these guys are just operating in another universe. agree with that sentence, love PJ but Radiohead is not from this planet... if they are still around in 20 yrs... do not know if my head would understand how they progress in an amazing way and sound even better... I can't in a present day...Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - Jul 15, 2006

its not just the music that they make that makes them of another planet and seperate them from other bands. the music of course, obviously is some of the most mindblowingly beautiful and creative music of our generation, its how they conduct their album sales and all that. The Pay what you want thing reguarding In Rainbows. The free download of Harry patch, and of These are my twisted words. The 10 days notice with In Rainbows. The less than a week notice for King of Limbs.
Radiohead and Thom Yorke are sort of how people should view the music world nowadays. This is how you release albums. This is how you announce it. This is how you sell it. They operate in this reguard so far ahead of the curve it sort of makes every other bands promotion of their albums meaningless.
This is how you promote and sell records and create music in 2011. Case closed.
Other bands, take note!0 -

Damn straight! I can't believe other bands and record labels are still dragging their feet and boo-hooing over the demise of the old business model. Move with the times people!0 -
I've never been a huge Radiohead fan, I like some of their stuff but I've never considered myself a big fan. But I've got to give it to them... they get it. This is a fantastic idea, as was the way they did In Rainbows. I think I'll buy the .mp3 digital release of this one just to contribute to such a great model.* Cincinnati, OH 8.20.2000 *
