With streaming these days I’ll certainly have a listen or two once released, but these days, I don’t know, the FF wouldn’t be an instant purchase like the good old days. Not doing much for me either at this point in time.

Just came back from the show. Josh was amazing on drums. Such a powerhouse. Shane Hawkins came out for a song. He plays just like his dad. The band sounded good. But Dave was more subdued than when I have seen them in the past in terms of banter with the crowd. I think they played the first five or six songs without him saying a word to the crowd. He opened up more later in the show and was more like his jovial self. His daughter Violet sang two songs with them. She had an amazing voice. I really liked the three new songs they played. Taylor was mentioned several times. It was emotional. But overall a great show with a really supportive crowd.

It’s great. I preordered the new album a few weeks ago. I think it comes out in a few days. I have a feeling the songs are going to be dark. The few I heard seem to be - obviously based on tragedy.

I listened to this on Spotify yesterday and it didn't do anything for me.

Listened to it again and just watched the super trippy video. I'm now fully on board.  Great song.  Not a rockin', feel-good summertime hit that's for sure!  Very personal and I'm good with that.

Best since Wasting Light for sure. At times, it’s almost a bit too heavy on the emotions of Taylor’s passing for me. But, if it’s what the band needed to do, I can’t argue.

Didn’t grab me initially tbh, but that’s a good thing, good albums can take time. I’m just glad to hear some new FF music, especially after what’s transpired in the last 1-2 years. Will be listening over the weekend for sure.

Watching them live from Rock Am Ring right now on YT. Dave's voice seems like he needs a day off.

Wow, this album might be the best thing they’ve ever done. Certainly in the last decade. Has a Wasted Light feel but with way more personal lyrics. Amazing writing and his vocals sound great. Sometimes dark but in the context of what he and the band have been through it all fits. I’m not usually one to call an album brilliant after 4 or 5 spins but this is top notch.

Picked it up yesterday but haven’t had a chance to listen yet.

It was a lot of fun watching the Rock Am Ring feed though.

I told myself not to expect too much from this album given the circumstances. Had two spins already. First didn't grab me but picked up some nice moments on the second. Will have to give the Teacher some time. Long epics aren't in the Foos' wheelhouse bit it's a great tribute and challenge to themselves. Was expecting some high level songwriting akin to Blackbird by Alter Bridge-that song is craftsmanship at the highest level-The Teacher hasn't hit that mark for me yet. Drums aside from Rescued aren't as bombastic sounding as usual either. Wonder if that's very deliberate. Will keep spinning it that's for sure. The Metallica album keeps chucking up nice moments with each playback so hopefully this keeps doing the same.

About 2/3rds through for the first listen and this is a really fucking good album. Best one they’ve done in a long time. Not sure I’m thrilled with the production though.
