She may have had personality but NO WAY the original judges would have let
    her through to Hollywood.

Thats what makes it kind of cool....maybe a bit more heart in the room
and more on an even steven (no pun inteneded) basis
They have plenty of time to narrow it down.
I love the raw innocent talent and the hopes and dreams.

I hope American Idol isn't as bad as our X factor, we had to put up with this.

Oh man that was painful ... I wouldn't have been able to look at that women either ... who was she? Paula Abdul? They all look the same to me ... I have never watched any of these shows.

What the hell is Steven Tyler doing there apart from perving on girls younger than Liv

My husband can not tell woman apart either... in TV shows he always gets the female characters mixed up
I think he just sees the hair etc :?

I'm not a fan of Tylers but I think he may change my opinion of him on this show. We'll see.
A lot of men are dogs and flirt with the young ladies....some maybe to still feel alive.

If you like talent shows like I do you might just try it. If not, it's not your cup of tea.
Sure beats all the stuff that shares its time slot though geez.
At least its music and watching the kids evolve over the next 3 months is cool.
I love music and dance and choose it over the sappy dramas and really stupid reality shows it's up against.

I hardly watch any t.v at all ... I have 4 channel's and only watch one of them with any regularity a channel that shows mostly documentaries and knuckle gritty British drama's that probably wouldn't be aired in America ... each to their own when it comes to mindnumbing

People love to dis  It does get them talking I guess.

I think the young talent is often really good for what it is. I mean what do people expect?
And I think about the family and friends who love them and how proud they are of them and happy for them.

My least favorite part has always been this search part and the ones who get made fun of.
I hope they are pranks, and I think a lot of them are. If not and they truly believe in themselves its gotta hurt to find out otherwise.

I think that the show has turned into more of a reality show over the past few years more than a talent competition. The last couple of seasons were mediocre at best. VFTW just adds some entertainment to it. Last season they were rooting for Tim Urban and said, rightfully so, that if the judges put them in to the voting rounds then that must mean they believe that they have an equal chance to win...

 Yeah I had cable then I moved house and decided not to get it ... I found when I had cable I watched almost anything now that I have 4 channels I can be much more selective ... but then with only four channels I guess I have no other option
Britain goes entirely digital this summer ... if I don't do something about it I'll lose all channels ... seriously considering giving up the t.v all togther and sticking to dvd's via the computer.
You should try some British drama's online at http://www.channel4.com :)

You know I think GH is coming up on 50 soon. The one here we had just got canned at 50 years, I think.
GH is awesome. The other day in a matter of a few minutes at the end of the show there was a setting of many different kinds of love played to music ...made me cry it was so lovely. :D
