    Parades are gay.

I agree! Who could be sad in a parade?

No worries. I just don't want to be lumped in with the rest of the homophobes. I mean, don't get me wrong, when it comes to people I am as intolerant as they come, but it doesn't have anything to do with sex, race, religion, color, creed, age, national origin, or even sexuality.

I'm not sure why people care so much who is gay or not.

It seems people get upset if the famous don't come out and there is so much speculation,
like the public is angry they hide something and are not themselves.
Then when people do come out and are openly gay people don't like that either.

If you have loved a gay person in your life you will see sexual preference means absolutely nothing.
We are all people looking for happiness and love and should be treated with respect.

This person you mention is proud of who they are, cheers to that!

    very well put

    who gives a fuck

I've seen many people hide it for a long time then when they come out it is like a new birth, they have lifted such a great weight off their shoulders and are then able to enjoy their lives and be happy

isn't that all we want for any of those we care for, is to be happy?
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

    no, just bisexual.

hmmm... this reminds of the time i wanted to start a MOWO awards ceremony... cos in the UK we have the MOBO's which is a celebration of Music of Black Origin... so i wanted to start a white only one... but i wasn't allowed... and there was the time i was in the Police and in the police we have a Federation of Asian Policemen, so i wanted to start a Federation of Angry Scottish People, which was technically a minority consisting of just me and Wee Mental Jimmy... but again i wasnt allowed.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I was sitting behind a car today driving home from work and this guy had the rainbow flag stickered all over his boot, a flag inside, and rainbow flag pillow things inside under the back windscreen.
Is that going too far?, okay you are homosexual don't have to parade it.
Is there a straight flag, I want to decorate my car.
Most straight people don't feel the need to have a straight flag, because the typical assumption is that people are straight. When I tell people I'm married, most assume it's to a man. That would really piss me off if I were a lesbian. It actually pisses me off anyway. I agree with Emmi - we flaunt that we're heterosexual all the time...without really thinking about it because we don't have to. And most people never throw it in our face as being overkill.

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I'd much rather have someone plaster their car with stickers of pride for who they are then in stickers of hate and intolerance. It is a lot easier to explain to a kid that someone is gay and proud, as opposed to trying to explain a sticker like "God hates Fags" or some sick shit like that.

I have a dear friend who is G-G-G-Gay. He grew up in small town, intolerant America and was beat up, stuffed in trash cans, physically and verbally assaulted from the time he was a small child. He survived it all and now flaunts the fuck out of how gay he is. And I think it is spectacular. I'm all for G-G-G-Gay. 8-)

I have no choice but to tell my 8 year old about homosexuality because he wants to know what that shit on my TV was or what that song was about, or why his teacher lives with the principle.

I get the fact your looking for recognition, but I'm one of those who can't wait for you to go away, your spoiling my Porno's.

I guess you would explain it the same way that someone would tell a child that's grown up in a house with 2 moms or 2 dads that there are other kids who grow up with a mom and dad. I don't really think it's about looking for recognition as much as fighting for acceptance...which sadly seems like it's still a long way off for some.

I think it's great when people can be truly proud of who they are. I don't have any bumper stickers on my car...but I do have an equal sign and a rainbow flag on my door. One of my students has a fabulous rainbow tie that I wouldn't mind getting for myself!
