Sorry to see him go. Nothing left to prove and plenty of cash in the bank. Glad I get to see him in Austin before he retires. Maybe he will pull a Kimi and get a surprise win. Probably not in an Aston.
Another blown strategy call for Ferrari, maybe a change on the pit wall is needed

Really good race to watch. Vroom vroom vroom, Ferrari are doomed. Anybody watching the live timing could have seen that the hard tire lap times were a good 2 seconds slower than the mediums. I would have loved it if we got real rain during that race.
I'm really enjoying this season. It's great that 3 different teams and 6 drivers have a legitimate chance to win every race, with possibly a few surprises from the mid-field for podiums. There's been some great, tight racing. I always felt Hungary was a bore- to tight to pass- but the race had many great overtakes.

Agree 100%. And silly season is about to start. Alonso to replace Vettel at Aston Martin. Cannot wait to see these new cars in Austin.
I thought Riccardo was on the outs also. Maybe Gasley ends up at Alpine?

Otmar is saying they'd have no issue taking Ricciardo back so maybe he ends up there. Who knows, this year's silly season is sillier than most already.
I think Gasly only makes a move to a top team, but anything is possible during silly season.
Agreed, I don't see him going anywhere. Piastri must have some kind of deal with McLaren to come out and say he isn't driving with Alpine. I would expect Ricciardo to go back to Alpine in that event but I guess Gasly could try for it as well.
Multiple outlets here in Australia are reporting that Piastri has signed for McLaren.
Where next for Danny Ric?
I saw that report as well, or at least the report saying McL told Ricciardo he's out end of this season. I think the Alpine seat will be either Ricciardo or Gasly, but I don't really see AT taking Ricciardo back.
Alonso is set take Vettel's seat. Stroll wants his son mentored by world champions. Otmar Szafnauer has said he would have no issue with bringing Daniel back. I do not see Gasly making a move from Alpha unless there are big dollars and a multi-year contract being offered. Who knows. That is why it is called silly season.

Man I hated him as a Red Bull driver but he became quite likeable as a Ferrari driver

Anyway, Piastri confirmed for Alpine 2023.
