Ready for some F1 and all the drama that comes with it. Binging Netflix tonight and all weekend. Montreal screwed us out of our tickets, but Austin is locked down.
Good start to the season! A few teams are off but I get the feeling they just need to figure out one or two wiggles (or bounces) to get back towards the front. I don't think Mercedes will be 3rd best for very long. I also think Mad Max will be in first coming out of the first corner, or there will be bits of bodywork all over the place.
Good start to the season (except for Red Bull) great to see a shake up, Alpha Romeo and Haas getting points. McLearn also took a step back. Liked the back and forth passing between Leclerc and Max mid race. The new colour schemes for Merc and Alpine were messing me up Was hoping Schumacher could snag 10th

I was wrong about the reckless dive bomb but hard and fair battle between Max and Charles. Was hoping Schumi Jr would hold on to points but pretty good opener. Crazy reliability for RBR, good for Ferrari fans.
Great reminder that reliability is critical. This is RBR's first year using the "red bull powertrain." Pink Alpine messed me up as well. Looks like Ferrari has spent some time developing the new PU and the 2022 car. Their PU seems stronger and their customers seemed to have more pace throughout the weekend. Haas was impressive! Looking forward to the next race.
1 race and 2 qualies in and I am liking the shakeup of the rankings, even though I don’t care for Ferrari lol

Major shunt for Mick. Glad to see see he is ok. Seems like Hambone has lost his mojo. Ferraris are FAST. I hate it. But love to see a change from the past. Leclerc actually looked like he was flying in qually.

I don’t think Lewis has lost his mojo, just the car below him is inferior at the moment. Merc will make the changes required I am enjoying the shake up also

More red. Not a terribly exciting race. Max calls the aston martin safety car a turtle. Loved seeing Russel finish ahead of Hamilton. Red Bull having reliability issues. Again.
Should be interesting to see who Merc and Red Bull give priority to with Russel and Perez ahead in points Granted it is early in the season
Congratulations to Williams for scoring a point. I like seeing Haas and Alpha Romeo doing better also

It's too early for all the hype about how much better the Ferrari is or how RBR's title challenge is over, blah blah blah. It's a long season, I'm not going to argue with some DNFs for the competition when they can turn around and have their car taking 4 or 5 races in a row.
If I was Binotto, I would have played it safe. Anyway, let's call it 'damage limitation exercise' and move on. We're still at the top of both championships.

I enjoyed the format for the weekend, sprint race was fun, and rain always makes it more interesting. Watching Russell and Bottas mix it up was awesome. I do not really have a horse in this race with Honda out, but it is hard not to root for Valtteri.
Too bad the rain never came. That was pretty boring. The race director should have allowed DRS much earlier when they were still bunched up. If LeClerc had passed Perez, it might have been interesting.

True for the race. I do not recall how many laps went by before the DRS was enabled.
The thing that bothers me about the jewelry rule enforcement is that it seems to target Lewis. Is this really the highest priority for the FIA going into Miami? Id say they would be better off banning fake marinas (so tacky) and making sure Ocon knows how to exit the pits. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Walt Disney World's newest attraction, an actual Grand Prix Circuit! When the helicopter pans out you can really see that it is a circuit in a parking lot. So glad I passed on this and the overpriced tickets.
After watching FP1, the track lacks space in the turns. Turns 14 and 15 then under the bridge is nasty.
meh, the jewelry thing isn’t important to me one way or the other, but if it has always been a rule, why should Lewis get special exemptions? Get the rule officially changed if it is that important. Must be something to do with fire precautions. An article I was reading earlier also mentioned drivers not wearing the proper underwear Vegas should be over the top for tacky.

Feel bad for Mick, almost had his first points. Bottas’s late slip also cost him some more points
