Now that the "Party of NO" has been given the keys to the house... I guess we'll finally get to see what they are really made of.

Let's hear some ideas...because oddly enough...I haven't heard a single solution come from the right side of the asile in 2 years.

And by IDEAS I don't mean the same horse shit Ronald Reagan qoutes that the GOP has been dry humping for the last 2 decades.

I'll tell you one thing...John Boehner sure as hell won't get away with spending 20% of his time on the Golf Course like he did this past session...Maybe that's why ole' leatherface was getting all teary eyed last night...Poor Bastard probably realized what he just signed himself up for.

Ha Ha Ha I guess it's time to put away the golf clubs and roll up your LL Bean sleeves there Boner...I can't wait to see the sweat on your face when you get called on your bluff :)

Oh yeah...and Rand Paul's also got his work cut out for him...Talk about a ball and chain of promises.

Hopfully the "Aqua Budda" will be by his side when his angry mob of hillbilly teabaggers come looking for his head in a year or so.

I sure as hell don't want to be walking the streets of Kentucky when Magic Trickle Down Tap of Deregulation doesn't produce any drops of firewater for Ole Kentucky.

I'm sure these Tea Baggers will get their American Flag Boxers all in a knot when they realize that their golden egg Randy's just a worthless huckster who has no problem gettin all cozy with he Big Government establishment up in DC.

Fun Times...See ya in 2 years

:lol::lol::lol: this too good not mention the fact that this country has been in the toilet for the last several years and everybody wanted something done to fix it,well 3/4 of America voted for a radical change in our government and voted for people they felt best for the job but we all here on the train know that only this forum and its posters know what is really good for this country..I wonder why nobody asked the Train party who should do it and what to do to make America a better place to live

The Dems still control the 2/3 of the power. Turn that frown upside down.
Yeah, don't the Dems still control the Senate?

It really doesn't matter though...nothing really gets accomplished in the US govt, no matter who's in charge.
Compromise would be nice but republicans don't know the definition of the word.

This just goes to show you the level of low-information that is out there.

Voter anger and impatience has just guaranteed 2 years of crippling gridlock.

    Way to go America!!!

This President is suffering from a serious case of Jimmy Carter Syndrome.

    Maybe we can't.

See now that's exactly what I'm talking about. You have no idea how anyone voted, yet you presume you won!! You do realise that it is not a football game that you are reffering to, just because someone has a differing opinion to your own doesn not encamp them on the losing side.

Many people vote on policies rather than parties, so your statement there seems even more silly, as if you see yourself as having won because Republican / Tea Party candidates were elected then maybe your country is doomed. I'd vote for the Big Bird if he had policies I agreed with, I couldnt give a fiddlers feck what party he's a part of.

Debate is a good thing my friend, it's healthy, however if that is the best you can bring to the party then I do feel that the point of politics has been lost on you.

Go forth young one and baske in your victory, you have a saved your country from tyranny, you have taken back your country, now gather what you need so that you may restore those founding principles.

    Godspeed

It was meant in jest, but I agree with you in regards to how healthy debate is.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to bask in my victory.

Good points Moonpig... Winners and losers in this is beginning to sound so ridiculous. I can't believe the lines that are seeming to be drawn in the sands these days.

Just like Obama's start, I will withhold judgement on the affect of the current elections until May of next year. Just like in Obama's campaign, many promises have been made and high expectations have been created. I don't think the public anger is going to fade so everyone is going to have to start making results or heads will role once again in two years.

    Just consider me cautiously optimistic.

Wow... talk about your vapid sweeping statements. Just mindlessly repeating the mantra of "spending is bad... mmmmkay" without ever making the effort to back up our claims with anything that remotely comes close to being a justification. Knee-jerk reactionism at it's finest.

To say nothing of the sheer meaninglessness of congratulating "Americans" en masse while at the same time running down the other side of the partisan divide, who are also Americans. In case you hadn't noticed, it was Americans who voted against Christine O'Donnell, Linda McMahon, Sharron Angle et al.

What a whole lot of loud talk that says nothing.

They certainly better walk the walk after talking the talk. But to think they can just get in and "Fix it" when they didn't get the necessary seats in the Senate ot take control and you still have a Dem president is pretty crazy really.

I think part of the frustration for people was the fact that the Dems controlled everything...and what did they get done? This is a big victory for the Rep. for sure, but not big enough. And they certainly can't let it go to their heads and use the victory as a reason to not compromise, which I think they may. If they do, they should lose all the support they gained as they haven't learned anything.

why do you think nothing got done? because only a handfull of republicans ever voted for anything that the dems tried to do. most votes had 0, ZERO republican votes in favor. there was one vote where there were 133 republican proposed ammendments in the bill and it still got no support. it is very hard to pass anything when one party will not go along with anything at all, even when the dems repeatedly made concessions, no public option is just one example of that.

and it is obvious the the gop can not fix anything because they have no ideas. if they had, the sensible dems would have listened, which they did on a number of bills. mitch mcconnell said yesterday that their legislative goal it to make obama a one term president. does that sound like they are willing to compromise on anything? not to me it doesn't....

I was quite pleased that Americans were able to spot the frauds and eliminate them. I was also pleased that Americans could spot the talent like Rand Paul and elect them.

At least O'Donnell, McMahon, and Angle can't be used as clubs to bash the tea party anymore. Good riddance.

    I agree with this.

As far as the rest, the dems controlled the white house, the senate and the house. No excuses, the ball was in their court and they punted.
