I'm sure that's what kept TNT's ratings high for this, those constant shots of Riley. I keep waiting for him to leave his seat during a timeout, walk over to the bench and take over the coaching reigns.

same here...they aren't even trying on defense these last two games. although the milsap experience was one of those things that happen once an NBA season. c'mon miami please start winning so everyone gets pissed, b/c as someone else noted no one in miami even cares about them.

miami's biggest problem: no interior defence and the inability to stop the opposing point guard from penetrating the lane ... horrible combination ...

anyone read about lebron bringing his "show" to miami and wade having none of it? .. it'll be interesting to see what happens ... their big mistake was signing bosh as well ... they should have taken that money and gotten tyson chandler or someone ... haslem is outplaying bosh significantly right now ...

I bet Jeff Van Gundy really feels like a fucking idiot right now. Beating 72-10? What a joke.

Better luck next hype-up, Miami. They desperately need Riley on the bench. Spoelstra isn't a seasoned enough coach to get this done. Coaches like Jackson and Rivers are going to put him in his place.

  • Pierce's tweet after the game was priceless. Great win by the Cs last night. I've had a tough time getting into this NBA season. I have been real busy, plus the college game is where its at. I probably watch 4 college games for every 1 NBA game in the wintertime.

I go back and forth with the NBA. In November and December the newness of the season has me excited but a lot of times by the time you get to the dead of winter college ball has taken over, especially in March, the NBA kind of gets lost. It doesn't help that the Knicks are usually terrible.

Perhaps I have wishful thinking, or I'm just not paying attention but the games I've been watching it seems like the refs are letting them play more and not blowing those damn whistles so much, and when they do...they're for the most part on reasonable terms.

went to my first nba game and possibly only game. I had last-minute free seats at the Nets game tonight. Really exciting game that the Nets actually could have won over the Magic had Brook Lopez rotated better on Jameer Nelson with four seconds left.

My seats were valued at 78 bucks, but were in the lower bowl about 15 rows up behind the basket. I would never pay that for an NBA game, but it was a good time and a decent crowd environment at a much better place than the Meadowlands.

As much as I thoroughly love basketball, and do enjoy the NBA...I will be the first to admit that the tickets are outrageously overpriced. I'd go see more games if It didn't take half of what's left over on my paycheck. Nosebleed seats are good and all, but truthfully, I'd rather be closer to see the action.

me too, if I had to guess, I'd guess that most of my row didn't pay 78 dollars for those seats. Another thing that ruins is besides the price is HD-TV.

Just moved down here to South Florida and try getting a ticket to a Miami Heat game even though most of the peeps that have tickets don't go. Two years ago i went to a Heat/Celtics game and the tickets were $40 each behind the backboard two decks up. The seats were ok but I can just imagine what those same seats go for now. Besides i'd rather stay home and watch than drive all the way down to Miami and find parking and deal with all the hype and crowds.

On the other hand one time per year I could deal with it ALL the distractions.

not only that, I'd guess there have been at least 300 coaching changes in the league since Sloan took over.

While I am proud of our boys here in Utah for going 4-0 on a reasonably tough roadtrip (considering Miami, Orlando and Atlanta), I am concerned at how they've done it.

The past 5 games they have been down by, at the most 22 in Miami, and have come back to win. They need to start playing strong for the full 48 minutes. No more of this second half bull-shit. They'll get eaten alive in the playoffs if they play like that. Facing teams like the Lakers, Dallas, Denver, OKC, Portland, their luck of slacking in the first half can only last for so long.

I really hope to see Jefferson find his groove in Sloan's offense, and for God's sake, he's either got to significantly improve that push shot, or just stop doing it. In comparison to how much he tries it and misses, it's not worth the points he gets off of it. I think he also needs to become a much more aggressive post player, especially on the boards. The guy has had numerous opportunities to jump up and rip some rebounds down, but he doesn't even lift off the ground. Box-out, lift-off and grab that shit. Draw the fouls in the post on the offense, make your defender work for the turnover.
