Sports Illustrated had them finishing 2nd in the division (9th in the conference).

I'm actually a Spurs fan (sixers 2nd). Liked their uniforms and my fav player played for them, David Robinson. Also like Timmay Duncan.

Bosh looked completly lost. Wade didn't look much better but he has an excuse. Lebron looked solid.

bosh is not a low-post player ... like i wrote yesterday - he's below average passer ... he'll still average 19 and 9 this year tho as boston is probably the worst match up for him as KG ALWAYS schools him ... and if he moves to the 5 - they can put big baby on him ...

what was interesting was that late in the game - the ball was in wade's hands despite shooting horribly all night and lebron seemingly warming up and with the better touch ... if opposing teams can make the heat a jump shooting team - they got a chance ...

agreed. they don't have a post up game. half the team i'd never heard of (jones?) and the other half is way past prime (howard)

the heat make the heat a jump shooting team. they rarely drove to the basket. i think as the season progresses, you are going to see lebron running the offense like he did last year in cleveland.

james jones has seemingly been this 3 point threat everywhere he goes but he can't seem to nail that shot which baffles me ... eddie house is a good pick up for them tho ...

boston is probably the hardest team to drive against ... they clog up the lane good and especially now with shaq - they will get full value on their fouls ...

It's easy to make a team into a jump shooting team when the refs don't call illegal defense on 15 possessions that they could have. The Heat took FAR too long to adjust to that...way to go Coach Spo. Still the Celtics were the better team last night. Although I think it was Cowherd who was saying that this is the Celtics you are going to see, they will play great D, but they are always available to come back on b/c they have 1-2 4-6 minute stretches per game where they won't put the ball in the bucket. Once Miami figures this out they won't have that problem.

Did anyone watch that Houston/L.A. game? Pretty down to the wire, and was a good game to watch. I thought Houston was going to stay strong but L.A. managed to squeeze that win out with a nice come back.

Haha...I hate all things Boston. It sucked to watch the delighted Remy's of the world last night, and I'm pissed about it. The 15 illegal defenses came from one of my friend's (Boston fan) analysis of the game. He kept making fun of me about it via text. Plus Wade wasn't getting the calls like LeBron did...LeBron bowled Pierce over and got a block, while Wade let go of the ball and was on his way down when he made contact on that questionable charge. Oh well. And yes I did watch the Laker's game as much as I could. The Rockets looked a little frisky, and the Lakers still came back. No injuries this year and it'll be C's-Lake Show a-fucking gain, but they are getting older and the Heat played like crap last night and still almost won. We will see....we will see.

yep...it was grandparent in-laws 60th wedding anniversary and we went to a red sox game and got caps b/c of some group thing. i responded by writing a dissertation on how red sox fans are racist.

that was a charge on lebron. not only did he run over pierce, he threw an elbow.

then if we discuss bad officiating, do you really think ray allen touched the ball that went sailing over his head?

nba refs are a joke, although i do like the new no whine tech calls. i got so sick of everyone running to the refs after EVERY single play.

i have but irony is kind of funny...i was agreeing that the lebron charge/block was a charge, but i was wondering how that could be a block and wade be a charge when the ball was out of his hands.
