I'm jumping on the Ranger's bandwagon since Atlanta got eliminated. Can't stand the Yankees, can't pull for the Phillies, and I want the Giants out since they took out my team.

Plus, I like Hamilton's story and the way he was able to kick his addictions and bounce back.

Rooting for the drug cartels in Mexico.

    Any more?

Of course, the Phillies have sort of become the Yankees of the NL, but I'm still making funnies.

Nelson Cruz and Ian Kinsler both hit three home runs in the ALDS. The only other team to have two players hit three home runs in a playoff series was the 1928 New York Yankees. Babe Ruth hit three and Lou Gehrig hit four.

Both Elvis Andrus and Vladimir Guerrero scoring from second base on an infield grounder on Tuesday night. That hasn't happened in post-season since the 1970 World Series. Paul Blair did it in Game 5 for the Orioles over the Reds. The Rangers did it twice last night.

I love that they celebrated with Ginger Ale instead of Champagne to support Hamilton. Very very classy.

Same as the Giants stopping their celebration to honor Bobby Cox.

Baseball still has some very cool people. Love to see a Giants/Rangers Series

    Pitching rotation set.

    CJ Wilson
    Colby Lewis
    Cliff Lee
    Tommy Hunter

OK, personally, I think it all comes down to Game 1. If CJ pitches like he has all year, and the Rangers get lucky against CC or get to the bullpen, the Rangers have a legitimate shot at winning the whole thing. But if they lose Game 1, then I am not sure they can recover. Because that will mean the Yankees were able to survive one of the best left-handers in the league and could avoid facing Lee twice.

I have Game 2 as a loss. Even though Colby Lewis has 196 Ks for some reason I never have a good feeling about him. He's been good all season, but has the worst luck with run support and bullpen help. Game 3 against the Rays was a microcosm of his entire season - pitches well enough to win, Rangers don't hit, he leaves the game with the lead, the Rangers go on to lose. I expect that same formula Saturday. Plus Hughes has dominated the Rangers this year.

So, the Rangers will roll Cliff Lee out there in Game 3 with either an 0-2 deficit or a 1-1 tie.

And if the Rangers have to count on Tommy Hunter while either down 1-2 or 0-3 then goodnight. But if the Rangers win with CJ and Lee (and Lewis loses), all the Yankees can do is tie it at 2 and would probably have to face Lee in a Game 6 because I have a feeling that if it comes down to Game 6 and the Rangers being eliminated, or having a chance to clinch, Lee pitches Game 6 on short rest.

That isn't a prediction and I didn't bother looking up any stats. Just a gut feeling today.
