This makes the most sense to me: 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Florida State 4. Alabama
Undefeated power 5 teams shouldn’t be left out, regardless of the perceived strength of their conference, or starting QB’s health. The injury report should never outweigh results, imo. I understand the argument that Texas beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa, but that was week 2, when most teams were playing cupcakes to get the kinks worked out. They are completely different teams today, and have a resume that can be compared. I think Alabama has a better resume than Texas. This is not the Big12 of the aughts, and the SEC is the media’s other darling. All this to say it’s about time college football is going to a proper playoff, even though these arguments for teams that should be included will never end!

Ugghhh...I hate Meatchicken. Hate that they had such a patsy schedule. Hate that their excessive blatant cheating is going unpunished. Hate that they made me want pedo state to win. Hate that they made me prefer Ohio State win. And that they will probably make me also prefer Free Shoes U win as well.

The only saving grace this season has been watching Notre Dame demolish Caleb William's Heisman hopes.

    Ha.
I'm seeing many predictions articles this morning leaving FSU for Bama.
Some reference it being a matter of "the best teams" and think the committee will do that.
    Imo, this is fraudulent.

If it really is the beat teams, how do none of these lists show Georgia in there?

Cmon committee do the right thing.  Undefeated p5 conf champs make it.
(Or, include Georgia in the top 4.)

I may be in the minority, but I disagree. FSU is not a top 4 team. If Jordan Travis was still there, maybe, because they could still compete.

Georgia can’t be in (I hate saying that). Bama beat UGA, Bama is far better than FSU.

I think the “right thing” in college football left the station a year ago.

    Michigan
    Washington
    Texas
    Bama

we’ll know soon enough, but here’s my take…

when then #3 shittygan beat then #1 OSU by six points, does that somehow mean OSU is all of the sudden no good?

when #8 bama beats #1 georgia by three, does that make georgia suddenly no good?

I mean, someone HAS to lose those games. it’s not like OSU and georgia lost to USC.

put in two from the B1G and two from the SEC

and, what makes a conference “power 5,” anyway? the ACC may be “power 5” in hoops but it’s not exactly a gauntlet in football.

saw an article about why georgia, FSU and washington (#2) should be pissed. al valid points. I think georgia is the best team left out - 29 game win streak ended by a field goal. alan iverson voice: “a field goal? we talkin about a field goal? not a touchdown. a field goal.”:

the whole “wins over top 25” is kind of fraudulent because so many ranked teams turn out to be shit e.g. USC

    might have struck a nerve.

you’ll understand my point, tho…they’ll say “so and so beat 5 top 25 teams” but it will turn out 3 of them weren’t really any good.

I’m coming around to “FSU got screwed” but thank god we won’t have to hear the war chant. that shit really makes that fan base unlikeable, for me.

the whole backup QB argument loses credibility when you realize clemson, OSU, bama and georgia have all won with backup QB’s.

No,  the Natty. Cardale Jones took over for Braxton when he broke his leg in the Michigan game.  Led them to that victory,  the Big 10 championship and then beat Alabama and Oregon for the title.  Point is that with a month to prepare,  a backup can win.  This isn't the NFL. Backups are usually in line to take the team anyway.

That was my first thought. But I don't think Clemson won with a backup, so I was just confused.
Lawrence wasn't a backup, they benched Bryant about 4 games into the season because he sucked. The he quit the team for being benched.
But I agree with the point. They should be playing backups more and preparing them, especially on those blowouts when you're up 4 possessions at half time.

McCord underperformed all year.  He was one read,, maybe two.  He's the worst starting qb for Ohio State since friggin Joe Bauserman.  Good riddance.
