Anyone watching this Content Creator Classic thing? I'm gonna watch a little later. That guy Trent from Barstool has actually made himself into a halfway decent golfer
Fat Perez plays at my club all of the time.  Nice enough guy.  He was also at a Dark Star Orchestra show next to me as well recently, wearing the same shit he does on a course.
    Nice. Seems cool.

Trent shot a 61...in 8 holes lol. So much for that.

An 11 on 17 but the roar from the crowd was deafening when he finally got it on. Grant Horvath is a douche.

I'm not a fan of island greens for the amateurs.  Pros, yes.  But someone like Trent, the drop area shot might be even harder than the tee shot.  Round killers because of a gimmick.  Someone like Trent, if they miss the green, it pretty much brings in triple bogey at best and that is too big of a penalty in my opinion.

If you can't tell I'm talking about my own encounters with island greens.  Just doesn't make sense to play normal golf for 16 holes and then add in a miniature golf type gimmick hole.  Great tv.  Makes the pros sweat which is good.
I don't have an opinion on island greens as a general statement.  It's extremely rare that I run into one, certainly not around me.  Regarding Sawgrass, I think it's great there.  Rounds are like $400 and if you play it, that should be the highlight of your round.  You should just know that if you hit two in the water, drop it on the green and take your double/triple as appropriate.
It's more like $700-800 to play there these days.  A friend was in that area last month and tee times were $750 plus $100 for a caddie.  I've always wanted to play there but just can't imagine dropping $1K on a round of golf.  Crazy.

They know they have you.  For that price it is a one time only thing to do.  Like Pebble.   Do it once if you can.  Bandon is much better value for sure.

Improved to an 80 today with no birds. Three shots at birdie inside 10 feet and missed them all. I didn’t realize that I haven’t released on my left knee for at least three years, robbing me of power on longer shots. I had five peanut M&M size pieces of bone , an ounce of scar tissue and meniscus removed from my left knee 5 weeks and I feel like a new man. I think I can drop some scores this season.

Tiger... retire.  You've got plenty of money.  You don't need to make any more.  The world doesn't need Sun Day Red.  Keep your legacy intact.  We don't want to feel sorry for you.  Jordan came back but could still put up 30 or 40 points if he had to.  We didn't have to watch his rapid decline.  We don't need to hear more about your surgeries.
"Old timers" do this all the time. they always go to the majors they have won and have exemptions for. Plus, its cool to see the evolution into this more social Tiger, chatting it up and having a chuckle with the younger generation who have idolized him since their youth. They probably saw Tiger as the silent/stone faced competitor, not someone who they can actually approach now and actually have a conversation with. No chance that he would've played in TGL (which sucks, imo) if it was around in his prime. Him sticking around now is good for the game. If the lefty loser is still around LIV, Tiger can surely be around the guys that didnt chase the money

Morikawa owes a lot to a lot of people.  Rahm proved that.  The PGA Tour is the star that Tiger built.  Rahm left and is forgotten. Colin can leave and will be forgotten in a second.   Terrible self awareness.

He said he didn't owe anyone anything when asked why he didn't give an interview after finishing second at Bay Hill.  Then doubled down and called out media members by name.  Colin is a nothing burger on this tour.   He won two majors and no one cares.  The tour and events matter, not Colin.

I wish I would have bet Rory on Saturday afternoon.  I just had a feeling he'd charge up the board on Sunday.  Spaun had little chance today going up against all of Rory's experience.   Just another day for Rory.

Yeah, I could see where it is strange to date someone in the public sphere when you value privacy, but also can see where it is tough to date a normal person that isn’t used to the spotlight and wealth.

Got the Wednesday practice round.  We're staying in Aiken, SC.  Rented a house there and only a 30-40 min drive to Augusta.  And obviously have to play some golf ourselves....flying in Monday and playing Mon/Tues.

Shot 89 today, not bad as it was my 1st real round since August of last year. Played a few weeks ago, more like paradise golf conditions were real shit. Today I was focusing as I’ve recovered from 3 foot surgeries… and I was pleasantly surprised at my progress

its been Hellish at times, really tough to build strength and balance back. I’ve tried to really focus through the winter on lil min milestones … it’s been frustrating but . i feel  like I’m finally where I need to be. Easy to take shit for granted when you think it’s always gonna be ok… I’ve learned a bunch this past 6 months, I’m grateful I didn’t give in

miseed my 1st ace by 2feet on a 172yd well protected par 3… that would’ve been special

Just nice to be out on what started as a 75 degree day with 3 great friends… then it dropped to like 50 , sun disappeared….seeing that they were excited after seeing me in a bad spot…. It’s great when you feel people genuinely care

    looking forward to this season

glad you’re back out there. Question: I don’t golf much but work at one of the busiest courses in Salt Lake. 80,000 rounds per year. the divot situation on our tees looks nothing like that. we have a guy(s) who sands and seeds the divots daily. Is the divot situation in your picture normal?

It’s been really shitty weather in March, we got a few nice days a few weeks ago but here in NY it’s been brutal… there were signs that they were in the midst of turning the coarse over for the spring but I agree it was dicey on a few tee boxes…it’s a nice public coarse too.

you should play more if you get perks… I was just excited to get some fresh air and some sun… weird day… was almost 80 first 4 holes, cloud cover caused the sun to disappear and it dropped to like 50 quick

    Now it’s 44 today

Shot a 79 today, and walked the whole thing.  I think this is round 4 on the year and since my knee surgery.  I'm getting back close to dropping some good scores.  I still have the pulls a bit, which is left over from not being able to shift on my left leg for the last few years.  Yesterday I only walked the front, so was glad to be able to do all 18 today.
