Was reading the Rules Guy on one of the golf websites and was thinking how ironic it is that you can't put tape on a club per the rules of golf, but Scottie and Rory can switch drivers and improve their fairways hit overnight by 20% without sacrificing length.

I hate that.  I don't need to swing constantly, but you have to get a rhythm and waiting at every tee box is the worst.  My club moved from 9 min tee times to 10 early this year and it has made a great difference in pace of play.

Anything less than 10 minutes is just brutal. Ideal time would be 11-12 mins between tee times but the demand everywhere these days is pretty crazy.

Yeah, you'd lose several tee times a day at 12 minutes.  10 is working for us.  We used to make the turn to a par 5 10th hole and you'd be the third or fourth group on the hole.  One on the green, one in the fairway, one on the box and then you're pulling up.  Outrageous.  Moving it by one minute from 9-10 minutes has meant one in the fairway, near the green and the other one finishing up on the box.  Big difference in pace of play.

If you're going to do that, you better have a course full of single digit GHIN players, and no betting.  When people are betting, they fuck around on the green too long.

Welp…got the call to play Aronimink next week. It’s with the guys where I absolutely embarrassed myself, which I thought would disqualify me from this invite but apparently not.

I don’t want to, but I have to accept.

You get a chance to play a championship course, you take it.  Doesn't matter what you shoot.  Just enjoy it.

I took Phil to beat Tiger today at -110 odds. Seems like easy money. Phil is up two strokes as I type this.

Easiest bet ever. My only concern was that Tiger would withdraw and they'd void the bet.

The Open Championship makes changes to Royal Troon after LIV Golfer's complaints (msn.com)

Golfers are so damn spoiled.  What a bunch of whiners.   Instead of saying 18 players birdied the hole so I need to step up and do it, the response is the hole should be shortened.

It's getting pretty sad watching Tiger out there.  Dude should just wait until he's 50 and go dominate the Champions Tour where he can use a cart.

Yeah, the one good thing from him playing is we confirmed he can’t compete at this level.  He didn’t retire too early.

Granted, he did make cuts in majors post car crash which is pretty fucking amazing.

Every time I look up, Rory is in that tall grass. Though this might be the year for him. Oh well...

For Tiger...I think he should still play but maybe stop with the "I think I can win" jargon every major...

Just an absolutely incredible day annnd I’m back, gentleman. Score wasn’t anything to be overly proud of, but was 1 over through 5 and ended with 3 pars and a birdie. I’ll take it.

I have no word for the place and course. Just an amazing experience.

Oh and best part, on the patio having beers it was stated “next time” so might not be my last time there

He needs to retire.  If not for car crash, he would have won more majors.

Has anyone else ever shot a 60 on the front and a 43 on the back?

I don't understand how it's possible for me to be absolutely fucking horrendous, like the worst golfer ever, for a two hours....and then 100% dialed in on fire for the other two.

What the fuck. I hate this game. I love this game.
