Put a little $$ on Rory as his round was ending....then he immediately proceeds to bogey 18. Still like him this weekend though.

Also really happy to see Ricky playing so well. Hope it continues.

Yeah, but it was a great putt on 18 to save bogey, so I'm guessing he's still feeling good about his game going into today.  The course does set up great for his big, high draw.  He's got to make it happen.

I put money on Rickie yesterday after the first round. Great odds for the leader, but really, I just want to see him win. That’d be a great story to go into a big slump, battle through it, turn down the LIV offer, and then come all the way back to win his first major.

After Rory birdied the first hole my first thought was that we'll probably hear the line "Rory hasn't had a birdie since the first hole" sometime around the middle of the back nine.  Likely will be true.

Rory will not overtake Clark.  Clark needs to come back for Rory to win.  I hope Rory pulls it out though.

It’s like a replay of last year’s British Open where Cam Smith and Cam Young were out there taking it and Rory played bland par-golf.

I threw some money on Clark yesterday cause I expected Fowler to fall back. Like you said, unless Clark messes up, the tournament is his. Rory isn’t going to take it from him. He needs Clark to give it away.

Great tournament. For all the talk of how easy the course played on day one (especially for a US Open), Clark, Scottie, and Rory all shot even par today.

Wasn’t rooting against Clark but seeing his reaction after the putt made me happy for him.

I was torn…..there were obvious reasons to root for rickie or rory. rickie collapsed and you can’t really feel sorry for rory. his bank account is doing just fine.

hell, clark won $3.6M just a few weeks ago. at first I was put off by “wyndam”…what a total, entitled golfer name. but he seems like a good dude.

    Cool golf story:
The Head Pro, Gary, at the golf course I work at has been teaching this girl since she was 9.
She got a full ride to Indiana then transferred to LSU this past season.
She qualified for the US Open at Pebble Beach. Gary is caddying for her. He flew over on Saturday. This was the homepage of the Ladies' US Open website today:

They played a practice round with Annika Sorenstam today.

Very cool. Should be a pretty cool weekend there.

Something insane I saw but don’t see how it can be true, this is the first time Michelle wie had played pebble! How is that possible?

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- It has been 72 years since the best female golfers in the world played a competitive round at one of the most famous golf courses in the history of the game. The 1951 Weathervane Transcontinental Women's Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, won by Patty Berg, was the last LPGA event at the iconic venue, which is hosting the U.S. Women's Open.

The significance of the women finally playing here is not lost on anyone. A venue that has hosted countless PGA Tour events and the men's U.S. Open six times will now welcome the game's top women to its grounds, providing a unique test that will give the golf world a different look at Pebble Beach through the shots of some of the best ball strikers in the world.
