There's no way Little Rory blows this lead. He knows the conservative approach will take him the rest of the way.

Hope Rory can carry his play right to the end. But I can't help remeber the 80 he shot in the 2nd round of British Open last yr. The only thing is he shouldn't have is the same type of weather conditions as the British.

Rory is killin it. Been a fan of his since last year, and the Masters broke my heart. But after watching all of his rounds all the way through this US Open (4th still pending), he is no doubt the next great golfer for us to see

Couldn't agree more about the Tiger bullshit.
Thought I was going to really enjoy this US Open without Tiger and they couldn't shut up about him.
Mr. roids is done. Stop talking about him.
    Rory is the man.

    Tiger won by 15.

Rory was great! I think we'll be seeing him accept a lot more major trophies.

Not to take anything away from Rory but Tigers win in 2000 was much more impressive. 19 other players were under par this year, in 2000 2nd place was +3.

Did you guys see Shane McMahon from WWE fame shaking hands with Rory after the win? You can't make stuff like this up.

Disrespect? From what I have read, Tiger was pretty much his hero growing up. He talked about Tiger at Pebble Beach in comparsion to this week but I didn't hear him say anything negative about him.

I think he was talking about winning the US Open and mentioning people like Jack, Arnold, and Ben, but didn't mention Tiger at all.

I don't know...if he did, it would end up like "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". It would be too much of him. I like when he gets his own episodes once in a while.

Gotcha, I wouldn't read too far into it. I know he made a couple comments about Tigers game around the last Ryder Cup but I don't think he was trying to say anything bad here.

He also forgot to thank the United States Golf Association, which kindof bothered me a little bit. I'm old fashioned like that.

I finally put my grandpas old clubs to use and went golfing for the first time in my life yesterday...I loved it! My girlfriend's sister just got a moved in to a golf community (they grew up golfing) ...there's basically a course built through the neighborhood. I shot a 58 (par 32, I believe) but I still loved it...only hit one house. I can't believe it took me this long to get out and try it.

    Anyone have any pointers?

I'm not really in a position to give you pointers, but practice and patience, and have fun. Welcome!
