this would all be solved if they just print our name(s) on the tickets, it cant be that hard - it will prevent this ticket swapping at the box office and maybe reduce scalping.0

Maybe 10c knew that this person was not coming.
My wife has a friend with a very low number. Much better then mine and when we went together to get our tickets for Chicago 1 they didn't even have my wife's friend listed for tickets. After what seemed like forever they gave her tickets out of an envelope from a 10c member who bought tickets for the show, but they knew was unable to attend. I think it was 5th row. I will give 10c the benefit of the doubt on this one.0

be grateful you get to sit that close EVERY show. at the next show turn around and look at the nosebleeds and realize how fortunate you are.
That is not what this thread is about, it's about false advertising if you imply a rows 1,2,9,10 are a lottery 10 Club upgrade, then make it so. Random allocation = bullshit lawyer talk for cover OUR ASS for doing what ever the F we want.
again you are worried about being moved from row 3 to row 10. Get over it, or keep complaining and maybe they will end the tix completely and you will never get decent seats again.
 "false advertising" please.

thats not how ticketmaster prints their tickets. but the 10c could seal the envelopes that have our names on them and give us sealed envelopes...that way, we know there were no swaps. If nothing is everything, I'll have it all0

 Wow! That's messed up.
Taping the envelopes closed would help, unless it's TC doing it, but they typically hand a box of envelopes to the box office staff.
WATCH OUT FOR THIS AT MSG!!!
I'm not saying it will happen, but MSG has (or used to) have a strict "no closed envelope" policy. Only venue I've worked that I've seen that. Their house-envelopes don't even have a fold-over to close, and they won't allow them to be taped closed.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

            i don't see the problem...
your friend won the lottery, but was pushed backed (probably accidently or else i'm sure we would have heard many other complaints about this happening since the lottery was established). So the staff member switched the ticket to a lottery row that your friend would benefit from.
one randomly allocated lottery ticket was switched with another randomly allocated lottery ticket.
a mistake was made and handled in the most fair way possible.0

There's an assumption too that it was taken out of an envelope. Correct?
I think the only thing that is solid here is that "winning" the lottery can indeed move people back, which would be nice if TC confirmed.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

so let me get this straight........
We have a story about 2 ten club members here.
One ended up in the front row
The other ended up in the tenth row.
What the F is the big deal?
Who cares if the lottery can move somebody back to the 10th row...........cry me a river on that one. I haven't even made a 1st side section or floor yet.0

I would say if the 'pushing people back' scenario was the norm rather than the exception, then we would be hearing about it a lot more on the board as people on here aren't the most passive bunch.
This was most likely a case of human error in allocation.0

As time goes on, PJ gets new fans. Some of which were toddlers in the early-mid 1990's and couldn't possibly purchase 10c memberships back then. Some simply become new fans later on. The pure seniority method creates a class system largely because of one's age and all but forbids someone who is younger, or joined later, from ever seeing the band from up close. The lottery system gives those people a chance that was never possible before of seeing the band up close. Without this, it's like a staunchy old gentleman's club and newcomers are dirt. I think the lottery opportunity is great. I truly hope that people with bad numbers, especially > 200,000 are given priority. I think the spirit is to give someone between 200,000 and 500,000 a chance never before a possibility. I would be disappointed if the spirit of this isn't being administered. I think it mostly is.Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0

thanks for all the hatred in your posts, time to email the 10C, I won't respond IN THIS thread anymore, too much hatred from 10C ass kissers.
My question is are the envelopes now marked for the winners? How did the person know who had won the lottery unless they went through a bunch of envelopes looking for front row. When I won the lottery (front row in front of Stone) in Camden 2008 my envelope didn't have any markings on it.- Busted down the pretext

sorry, this just doesnt make sense to me. how can you get your tickets and say "wait wait this is 10th row, I'm always in row x (whatever he usually says he is), I can't get pushed back".
How would the box office even know he is being honest, and just decide to upgrade him?
 You're saying I can get my tickets, regardless of where they are, and claim there has been a mistake made because of the lottery, I can say "hey I usually get row 3" and they will swap me? maybe its just me but I dont see how this could go down9/1/00, 4/28/03, 7/5/03, 7/6/03, 7/12/03, 10/1/04, 9/28/05, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 6/1/06, 6/27/08, 6/30/08, 8/7/08 (EV), 6/12/09 (EV), 10/27/09, 10/28/09,10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/21/10, 6/15/11 (EV), 9/2/12, 7/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/27/13, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/7/16, 11/4/16 (TOTD), 8/18/18, 8/20/18, 9/24/21 (EV&Earthlings), 9/26/21, 9/11/2022, 9/14/2022, 9/7/2024, 9/9/2024, 9/12/2024, 5/16/2025, 5/18/20250

Yeah and that's the problem I see with this situation. By someone being moved back from where they would normally be (row 3-4) they are taking away someone else's chance to win those tickets. Don't put someone with member number 50XXX in 10th row when someone with 400xxx could win it."There was a band playing in my head, and I felt like getting high"0

The box office called the 10C and they looked up his member number."There was a band playing in my head, and I felt like getting high"0

Why couldnt the guy had just gone to the window, seen he ended up with 10th row, said "thank you" and walked the fuck away???????
Instead, he complains, and someone else who had won 1st row tickets, gets screwed out of those tickets. Right?
Or did I read that wrong....
The person who ALWAYS gets in the first few rows, once again, ended up in the 1st few rows.....right???Take me piece by piece.....
