NOT EVERY SEAT GOES TO THE 10c LOTTERY.....

meaning they hold rows 1,2 and 9,10 ..you ready for this THEY THEN GIVE MOST OF THOSE SEATS TO PEOPLE IN THE BIZ!!!! and friends /family...etc etc . i bet they give HALf of those seats to us

how do i know this ..you ask
my friend who works for a company that is on a first name basis with the pearl jam staff and just about any other big band out today.. ... ALWAYS GETS THOSE TICKETS!!!! he has been to over 10 Pearl jam shows in the past three years and they give him either rows 1,2 and 9,10 .. PLUS they give him ALL ACCESS passes ... and he gets 4 of each to any show he wants .......

side note im going with him to hartford and Msg 1 ... I WILL CONFIRM this if its true ..

I know someone who has won like 5 times... Not real cool.
I understand it but don't really like that people win more often than others. Been to 30+ shows and never won... But used to be front row before the lotto began.

I won the lottery front row in Philly and the guy next to us (with a friend) was friends with Eddie and Jeff...he said that he "prefers front row but is usually seated on the stage". So they do put friends in these lottery seats as well. He said that someone from 10C must have noticed his name when allocating front row seats and gave him the seats.
  • he's probably just whiny that he had to sit one row back because of those filthy peasants with high 10c numbers getting to sit in the row before him.
  • it is shitty if the band is handing out front row seats to their buddies, especially if said buddies have had multiple opportunities to view shows from that vantage point. fuck pearl jam. creed would never do that to its fan.

Has anyone figured the odds of winning the lottery:

    Does this make sense?

    15,000 capacity = 1,500 10C Seats

    36 seats per row x 4 rows = 144 Seats total for rows 1,2,9 & 10

144/1500 = 9.6% chance of hitting the lottery.

all I have to say is...Ed and Jeff (and Mike and Matt for that matter) can give out as many tickets as they want, to whomever they want, as long as they keep making music, and offering it up to additional friends (like me) periodically. I'll even pay for it, and i will be happy just to be there once in a while to hear it live.
  • of course friends and family and even 10c staff (i sat next to a girl that works for the 10c) get seats right up front. they dont claim to put their friends and family behind us anymore--even though they really did used to put 10c members ahead of their friends and family. so what. some of you need to grow up and learn about how the real world operates. we get the best seats they can get us and they give some away...omg...how shocking.

Sometimes they get a bigger allotment of tix (someone reported 3500 for MSG)... anyway, 5 or 10% range of hitting one of those rows (less if you have a number that usually nets below 9th or 10th)..

Good guestimated ballpark number for anyone that cares....

Good point about lesser chances for those who usually get rows 9 & 10!
  • yeah the nerve of them giving good seats to their friends!
