all I have to say is...Ed and Jeff (and Mike and Matt for that matter) can give out as many tickets as they want, to whomever they want, as long as they keep making music, and offering it up to additional friends (like me) periodically. I'll even pay for it, and i will be happy just to be there once in a while to hear it live.
  • of course friends and family and even 10c staff (i sat next to a girl that works for the 10c) get seats right up front. they dont claim to put their friends and family behind us anymore--even though they really did used to put 10c members ahead of their friends and family. so what. some of you need to grow up and learn about how the real world operates. we get the best seats they can get us and they give some away...omg...how shocking.

Has anyone figured the odds of winning the lottery:

    Does this make sense?

    15,000 capacity = 1,500 10C Seats

    36 seats per row x 4 rows = 144 Seats total for rows 1,2,9 & 10

144/1500 = 9.6% chance of hitting the lottery.

Sometimes they get a bigger allotment of tix (someone reported 3500 for MSG)... anyway, 5 or 10% range of hitting one of those rows (less if you have a number that usually nets below 9th or 10th)..

Good guestimated ballpark number for anyone that cares....

Good point about lesser chances for those who usually get rows 9 & 10!

:::sigh:::You can defend the band if you want, but this is disappointing. :( . Ten Club has let the idea that Four Full rows are given exclusivly to TC Members per show.(No matter your TC#, you have a chance for the concert of your life, but not if enough PJ Freinds and Family members are attending ) If PJ gave away seats to rows 2 through 8, which are still pretty sweet, to there freinds and family and perserved the intergrity of there fan base i would feel fine with this. But apparently that aint the case.

Where does it say that the four full rows are given exclusivly to TC Members?

Show me please where it says FULL ROWS anywhere. I have not read that ALL seats in any row are exclusive to 10Club. besides , even IF they were, the BAND owns them until given!!!

I saw the same guy who won front row to the Ed solo show on the big screen in the front row at 2 other shows I was at. Good for him, but I think that after you win it once, let someone else have a chance. But hey, just happy that there are fan club seats in the first place....

Yeah, creed wouldn't do that to their 50 fans, anyway I went to Philly show 3 10/30 sat in section 107 to mikes side of the stage one section up from the floor and Mikes wife and Eddies brother and girlfriend or wife(not sure which) sat in the next section over! so they don't always get front row seats contrary to popular belief.

Imagine if 10club member's gave out lottery ticket's to be on stage, watching the whole show on the side of Mike or Stone, or even score backstage passes?

It's tough to make every fan happy @ the show's. Personally, it must be fait but I don't gamble cause it's a sin. And I guess that's why I don't win in these lottery things. When 10club announced about the lottery during the Ed Solo show's April '08, i've been to 16+ show's using my 10club ticket's and haven't scored a row 1, 2, 9 or 10. I've seen many many friends & people on the same tour's that I know who did these show's with me & they scored maybe 3 to 4 times in those row's. I thought too that once you get that lottery hot seat, your name is out of the lottery hat for the next shows. Let the other 10club member's who are @ those show get a chance to score a piece of the action. But I guess that doesn't work at all. :(

    right on

and who is to say that guy didn't drop mad cash to a ticket agency for a seat in front ?
at least we still get a better shot.

since 93 i was shut out of shows till i got wise and joined the 10 club .they would sell out in like 5 minutes.
at least now my odds have improved. not only to get in, but to get good seats.!!!!!

Implied? really. The truth is WE infer what WE wish.

We should consider ourselves fortunate that seats such as these are available to us at all , much less FIRST. I understand you have your opinion, certainly entitled to that , as I am mine. For me, I've only seen them once. Worked a '94 show cleaning up afterwards. WAS supposed to be in a little room with everyone else until the show was over. Couple security guards were cool and let us grab some empty seats. Side view , up high. Fucking LOVED it. Not just because it was free. it was the ride they took us on!!!!

Is it so much that you have to be up front in their face? or isn't about being there to be taken on the ride that is a live show?

I won the lottery back in '05 for Atlantic City and only had to pay $50 for the GA show at the Borgata while others were paying $300+ a ticket...so I'm not complaining. I've been a member since '03 as well.

Ya all are jumping to conclusions and that's making me sick. Taper (the OP) still hasn't yet come out and said what's grieving him. Nothing was said that the band gave ANY seats away to friends and family. Seriously, what friends and family are going to St Louis of all places to see the band? NYC I can understand, I remember seeing Jill and the Olsen twins at MSG in 08, and they were off to the side of the stage. Trust me, 10C seats were better than theirs. But that's besides the point. Until someone actually makes some kind of proof of a claim, stop jumping to conclusions and making assumptions about what MIGHT be going on

That is fair, but of course there is going to be a shit storm when someone starts a thread like this and then disappears.
