i was kind of hoping they'd go more in this direction for catwoman:

  • Didn't Joker kidnap Gordon in a graphic novel once? Something like that would have been cool. Make it personal between Batman and Joker.

well gordon has been abducted several times throughout the batman story line, the one you may be thinking about is "the killing joke"

joker kidnaps barbara, gordon's daughter. he photographs her nude as he tortures her, shooting her, leaving her paralized. Thats how she ends up becoming oracle. Sends the photos to gordon as the cherry on top.

some of these story arcs are just plain effed up!
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

From what I've seen as of late, the choice to use Bane as the main villain could work very well.

Ive seen both the prologue and 2nd trailer....it's pretty awesome stuff. The prologue in IMAX is wowwwww

And all I gotta say is the scene at Heinz field has some serious promise.

I got to witness some filming around the Trump building in NYC in November and was on the lower level of the 59th street bridge while Nolan and his crew were topside filming

Didn't know until I got home and saw it on the news. Traffic sucked that day

i didn't HATE batman forever and batman & robin. i thought the goofy comic book feel wasn't terrible after coming off two dark burton movies.

    am i alone?

i think you are. ...burton's batman was great. batman returns was decent. batman forever wasn't that great but isn't as bad as some remember it. batman and robin...... i don't think i've even seen the whole thing.

is anyone else a little confused by the lack of promotion so far? i read something that wondered if warner bros isn't happy with it.... :?

I don't think they need to have much promotion right now. It is a sequel to the biggest comic book movie of all time and that pretty much sells itself. Now, if it is this quiet come May...then I'd be confused.

Pretty excited for this, not nearly as much as I am for the Avengers or Spiderman. I highly doubt it can live up to the last one but I hope I'm proved wrong. I'm watching batman begins right now, it's pretty good but not even on the same level as the dark night. I'm assuming dark night rises will be closer to the level of batman begins but like I said I hope I'm wrong. I just think the Heath's Joker and just the nature of the Joker character were a huge part of why the dark night was so good.

I can see this movie as not being as good as the Dark Knight, but better than Batman Begins.

Whats with Banes voice, he sounds sort of like a british butler.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
