I saw The Dark Knight at the cradle of Aviation here on LI,NY which is also an IMAX dome... It was phenomenal! I found out this theatre doesn't play Hollywood films anymore :( only Docs.
So Lincoln Center here I come... It's a giant screen and is considered the cream of the crop!
If there's an IMAX near by , you gotta spend the extra few bucks... An hour of it was shot in IMAX.
I'm just really excited to sit down with a bunch of my friends and from early accounts be blown away. It's rare that a film does that to me anymore, and Nolan's films are never a disappointment. He really is a master.
Enjoy everyone, only shitty part me thinks will be that this is really it.(for Nolan)
Only thing that's kinda gonna suck is that's 2 hours and 45 minutes. I'm seeing a midnight showing (hopefully I don't fall asleep )

Really... I'd say it's 5 to 1 in very strong reviews, even the lesser ones still say its a pretty good film.
I know someone who seen it and their not really a fan of the genre and said it was a great film.
Some have hinted at a best picture nod.
If your fixated on the Joker and how great he was, I think your setting yourself up for disappointment
Yeah, most of the "negative" comments I've read are trying too hard to compare it too hard to The Dark Knight, but then end the review by saying how great the film is.

I thought "The Dark Knight" was a fabulous film...I can't go in expecting "The Dark Knight 2" because this film will stand on it's own.
Looking forward to seeing it.

Most of the reviews I read WERE comparing to The Dark Knight. But the majority said it's extremely intense and very good. It just didn't "stack up". Whatever. That's like comparing children.

I'm watching Batman Begins right now in preparation for the big release. I have the day off work tomorrow so I may try to get into a matinee since I don't know when my friends and I will be able to all go together.
I'm going to see it at midnight tonight. My friend just called me at the last second, because she forgot she bought tix a long time ago, and just got a reminder from Fandango Wasn't planning on this tonight, but here we go!

it started off a little slowly and the characters always seemed to be in the right place, at the right time.
That said, it all culminated into a BRILLIANT movie. What a fucking ride, can't wait to see it again.

Agreed. Loved how they weaved in a couple of my favorite moments/storylines from the comics too. Great flick. & excellent conclusion to nolan's trilogy.
