There is no issue with paying for AMERICANS to be on welfare, since there will always be a percentage of the population in any country in poverty, even the wealthiest country in the world. I do not like the idea of having illegal immigrants who do NOT pay into the system getting benefits. I think its just to easy and convenient for you to pin anyone who disagrees with your views as a racist. Its a good tactic, but has no basis.

they DO pay into the system. when they buy goods and services they pay sales taxes and when they get their paycheck they have taxes taken out of that AND if they are here illegally that means they can't file their taxes so instead of receiving a refund the government keeps all that money.....so what are YOU paying into that they aren't?

Yeah, seems like he has it backwards. They DO pay into the system and they are NOT allowed to get most benefits. I'd love to hear about all these benefits illegal immigrants are supposedly given.

When you see this, what emotion does it evoke within you? Anger and hatred? You don't "feel for" these young people willing to be handcuffed arrested and prosecuted because they see how this law will effect their little brothers and sisters (i.e. think how horrible.... if they were born here in the US to "illegals" and end up parentless...) their parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends.... and more... harassed, living in fear....etc..... the implicit racism...You don't "feel for them" for having the courage to stand up in such a way, for what they believe is right and just?

Reminds me of a song from the most socially conscious band I know. A band that encourages their listeners and their fans to support causes they believe in and use the "power of the people" to fight social injustice... A band of activists...

Oh I will make my way, through, one more day in...hell

How much difference does it make
How much difference does it make...

I will hold the candle, till it burns up my arm
I'll keep takin' punches, until their will grows tired
Oh I will stare the sun down, until my eyes go blind
Hey I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind

how much difference does it make
how much difference does it make..
    how much difference...

I'll swallow poison, until I grow immune
I will scream my lungs out till it fills this room

    How much difference
    How much difference
How much difference does it make

I don’t feel sorry for them at the same time I have no ill will toward them. I just posted this to see what opinion’s people had about this violent protest.

I do "feel for them" for having the courage to stand up in such a way, for what they believe is right and just.....and I would not make fun of them or call them names....

you play it with nearly every post...the white american male supremacy card...[/quot

So let me make sure I got this right.
If I don't support the release of terorists from gitmo....i'm a racist.
If I support searching certain people at airports because they fit a profile....i'm a racist.
If I don't support ILLEGAL immigration rights in America.....i'm a racist.
If I support smaller government and less government spending......i'm a racist.
If I don't support Obama and all he does.....i'm a racist.
    And.....if I am a white american male........i'm a racist.

How about you stop calling people a racist just because they do not fucking agree with YOU!

ok, you are putting words in my mouth. it matters not if people agree with me or not. how about you stop defending this racist law for once? i never talked about most of those things you accuse me of, and i do not have to defend myself or clarify my position on the six things you allege me to have said but i will anyway so i can make it abundently clear to you where i stand, ok?

point one- gitmo. no you are not a racist if you do not support releasing CONVICTED terrorists at gitmo. fact is, most of them have not been charged with anything or had trials so their guilt has not been established. if you support locking people up without charge for eternity you are not racist, but a sadist, and you are wiping your own ass with the constitution that you claim to care so much about, yet do not apply it to everyone...so much for equal protection and unreasonable punishment.....

point two- if you support racial profiling you are a racist. plain and simple. if you single out certain groups of people for increased scrutiny based on the color of their skin you are a racist. that is pretty much the definition of racial profiling, and racism is is also defined within that definiton.

point three- if you do not support them having rights then you are a selfish prick. america is not just your land. it is everyone's. this was not your land either my friend, your relatives and ancestors came here as immigrants as well. imagine if they were told to leave and not come back. where would you be living now? if they come here and work they should have the chance to become lawful citizens, and you should not have the right to try to take that away from them.

point four- no that does not make you a racist and i never said it did.. where are you pulling this out from?

point five- technically that does not make you a racist unless you disagree because he is african american. if you disagree because he is black or you feel like he is not an american citizen then that makes people not only a racist, but stupid as well.

point six- no but if you post with such impunity and hatred like unsung does that can make you a racist. when you or anyone else espouses how much better they think they are based on their culture and skin color it is racism. stop accusing me of playing the race card when you play the hatred card. deal?

    two questions

    1.Is just "PROFILING" ok?
2.How about this.....Say China has an influx if American people there illegally in the country....would it make sense to stop Chinese people to check their citizenship?

    1. depends on your criteria for profiling. if you are profiling a serial killer for part of an investigation it is ok because there are standard things that they all have in common, thus the "profile" that the suspect fits.. if you are stopping a certain ethnic group for increased scrutiny based on skin color or or any other cultural basis its not ok. either everyone is searched equally with the same scrutiny or nobody has increased scrutiny. that is the only fair way to do it, and this bill would not be racist then. the only reason people are up in arms is because LEGAL immigrants and CITIZENS of hispanic descent are now left wide open to increased scrutiny and shakedowns based on how they look and nothing else. and that is wrong in this country and its wrong in every other country on the planet.

    2. this is a bad example and is not really relevent here. there are all types of american citizens, african americans, caucasions, asian americans, etc, china is a communist country and they are going to do whatever they want to do. we can't change it, but ethically they should not be racially profiling either. america claims to be the land of opportunity, china is not, so if america is going to continue to claim to be the land of opportunity it should be held to a higher standard than a country like china.....

It's really hard to have any dialog about protest when you keep insisting that the people in this video are violent (which is kind of calling them names) despite the fact that CLEARLY they are not. This is the same line of reasoning and method of persuasion that is rotting our brains and ruining our country - the idea that if you say a lie enough times it will be true... or at least people will believe it.

 The video in question is not one of people throwing bottles, but one of people peacefully chained to a state government building as an act of civil disobedience. You must have watched it because you posted it and you even labeled it "calling for civil disobedience". I don't see why you keep trying to pretend that something happened in this video that did not happen when we are all able to watch it and see for ourselves that you are full of shit. :?

So there was a misunderstanding with the protesters/police and water bottles were thrown a MISTAKE. Surly you understand a mistake right sort of like when you wrote AR thinking that was the abbreviation for Arizona (AZ) which you quietly changed to the correct abbreviation.

I don't think I've ever said this to anyone more than I've said it to you but, what the hell are you talking about?? I don't have a bad taste for America or its citizens. The only ones I have a bad taste for are the ignorant and harmful ones who themselves have a bad taste for many of their fellow Americans. And total disrespect for the law?? Huh??? I don't pick and choose which laws I want to follow... I follow the law and I have no idea why you would think you know otherwise. And just because some people have to be taught their ideas from Fox news and Tea Party rallies doesn't mean you need to look to my school to find out where my ideas came from. And even if you did think I hated this country, how can you honestly say I'm the only one? There are many, many people on this board who have expressed sentiments similar to mine. So, again, I ask you, What the fuck are you talking about?????
