based on the thread title, i thought this thread was supposed to be about violent protests in Arkansas.....isn't the proper abbreviation for Arizona AZ???

New York huh. Kinda funny. There is a person in N.Y. with my name and birth date that causes me all kinds of problems. Apparently i've served six years in the N.Y State Pen. but yet I claimed taxes in Maine at the same time. Lost jobs and my license because of this crack dealer. As far as I can understand New York hardly ever asks for a S.S # because they don't have one on this guy.

I am not too up to date on this issue. I am also unaware you can get wallet sized passports...
Regardless, passports and birth certificates aren't like debit cards, not that easy to keep going and getting new ones... Personally I don't like carrying my passport around.

First of all, I clicked on this thread because it says it's about violent protests in Arkansas. Then in your OP you chastised us for not commenting on the violent protests [in Arkansas]. Since I had not heard about violent protests in Arkansas, I asked what the hell you were talking about. And now you are giving me shit for not keeping informed about these violent protests [in Arkansas]?? Do you know why I don't know about them? BECAUSE THERE WERE NO VIOLENT PROTESTS IN ARKANSAS! So, again, not only can you not fault people for not denouncing something they don't know about, but you surely can't fault people for not denouncing something that never happened.

Secondly, I have never, ever said or even suggested that I know all about the Tea Party. As a matter of fact, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED YOU TO TELL ME ABOUT THE TEA PARTY in the thread titled "Trying to Understand the Tea Party". You didn't even attempt to answer, but instead accused me of being too selfish to have children.

Third, I can't believe you posted a video of a specifically NON-VIOLENT protest as an example of violence. Not only was there not any violence whatsoever, but they even declared several times that it was a non-violent demonstration. If you actually consider this violence or hate then there's something wrong with you.

Fourth, regarding the "violent" protests... there was less violence there than there was here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd9iOpMSOns
    They declared no violence :lol::lol::lol:

Did you even watch the video you posted? Do you even know what civil disobedience is? PLEASE SHOW ME WHERE THERE IS VIOLENCE IN YOUR CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE VIDEO. Go ahead. I want to see.

LOL... I order birth certificates all the time for kids i work with and last i checked (this week) that did not come as an option in NYC. You can get an "enhanced" driver's license for a fee though! (although to the best of my knowledge you don't need to be a "legal" immigrant to get a license in NY state...)

Yeah, I check people's birth certificates all the time where I work - gotta be sure they're citizens or have been here legally for at least 5 years or they can't get Medicaid! - and they are definitely not offered in NM, nor have I ever seen one from any other state.

Read the rest of her posts and give me one reason to believe it was just a typo. I'm sure the post about civil disobedience being violent was just a typo too, right (even though she came back and reiterated it)?

And the reason I gave her shit about it is because SHE WAS GIVING ME SHIT for saying I hadn't heard about the violence in Arkansas. At that point she had not mentioned AZ anywhere, so I actually thought she meant AR. I'm from AR, so I wanted to know what was up. I'm just saying she shouldn't start shit with people when it was HER mistake. Maybe she should have gotten the fuck over it. And maybe you should too.

EDIT TO ADD: I find it pretty funny that she's being defended by someone named moe.ron.

I have great compassion for stupid people too... just not passionately stupid people whose stupidity causes them to frequently insult me when their argument has no merit and who support ideas/policies that are hateful/harmful to others.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm ignorant about a lot of things. But do you know what I do when I don't know what I'm talking about? I keep my mouth shut. Or at least I don't scream loudly and hurl insults.

I'm sure you wouldn't mind carrying them around, however with you having to wear that badge of honor all the time comes the possibility of losing those precious documents or stolen. Therefore leaving you with them and facing the possibility of being questioned and NOT having those precious badges of honor. You may come out fine after being questioned but imagine a Hispanic American with lost papers might NOT turn out as well as you.

trying to think how this could work... i'm thinking an appropriate next step... to truly, effectively distinguish "them" from "us" would be if each natural born citizen had a chip implanted at birth... and in the case of immigrants... well what a great way for them to celebrate their new found American freedom... A Chip Implantation Ceremony!

You fail to see the big picture where this all leads. All legislation attempts for any type of immigration "reform" contain language to make these illegal aliens citizens. Most are low income, non skilled laborers who will then qualify for food stamps, medicare, SS benefits, and other social services and welfare.

Now I recognize the need for this type of labor, however they should be filling out the temporary work visas and returning home when their jobs are done. Examples include seasonal work, construction, farm work, fruit harvesters. Now if they followed the law I'd have no problem with them, as you say.

So yes you are right I worry about tax dollars first.

i do not fail to see the big picture. i see through your racism. so the fuck what if these people can become citizens??? so fucking what?? you act like there are not americans born into poverty here every fucking day. they are low income, most likely not skilled since they can not find a job tht pays more than minimum wage, they qualify for medicare, medicaid, social security and other social services benefits. what about them? oh i guess in your eyes they are ok because they happened to be born within these borders. why not advocate for deporting the? it sounds like an argument you would be willing to make. personally i don't give a fuck if people come here and become citizens. there is plenty of food to go around, and if you don't want to do a certain job i'm sure some of them would do it for you. its people like you who feel you are better than everyone else because you were lucky enough to have been born here that absolutely disgust me. now put on your patriot suit and go counter protest or something.
