    Red rocks coming!

Skipping MMJ at Red Rocks for the first time. Would love to be at the shows, but just too wet & cold still at my condo in Frisco to stay & visit. Been in NY since the PJ Philly shows. Haven't seen the sun in over a week. Can't wait to get back to warm sunny Florida. Have fun all!
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
    What You Giving

I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!

Some new MMJ and JJ album news:

    http://www.courier-journal.com/story/entertainment/arts/music/2016/05/10/my-morning-jacket-iroquois-park-louisville/84134966/

James said that a new MMJ album is taking shape, but not the one that fans were expecting. When "The Waterfall" was released last May it was announced that there were more than enough songs for a second, vastly different album to be released this year.

Some of that music is still in play, but a recent surge of inspiration got in the way. Some of the leftover "Waterfall" music will still be used, but the album will take off in yet another direction.

"I feel like a month ago I didn't have any idea when I'd want to make another My Morning Jacket record, and then all of these songs popped out and I got super excited," said James, who anticipates a 2017 release.

James is finishing a second solo album for a possible fall release. Its inspiration came from an unfinished stack of soundtrack work that was abandoned after producers fired him and his collaborator, composer Brian Reitzell.

When MMJ was touring Europe last year, one of the instrumental demos came up on shuffle and James was reminded of how much he loved the music. The more he explored the demos, the more ideas he had to take it all several steps further.

"It just kind of came from nowhere so it's got a low carbon footprint, this new solo record," James said. "We like to say it's the lowest emissions record ever made."
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

There was a rumored leak of the OBH lineup. I'd love to see Gary Clark, but the rest of this lineup doesn't do much for me. Really hope this isn't accurate -- definitely need Dr Dog there again this year!

    Gary Clark Jr
    The Head and the Heart
    Kurt Vile
    Pres. Hall
    Deer Tick
    Lucius
    Carl Broemel
Merrill Garbus DJ Set (of Tune Yards)

War on Drugs were awesome at OBH2. I'd actually be perfectly fine with the same lineup as last time. Except for Biz Markie, who was flat out awful

Kind of related. I wanted to get some like minded perspective. The wife and I have never been to Colorado. We are going to Red Rocks for the shows Sat/Sun and then are staying in Estes Park for 3 nights Mon-Thurs. I'm looking for some ideas on what we should see/do for the few days. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
