Singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne will soon embark on a 45-city tour in support of Ouroboros, a new studio album due March 4. LaMontagne has revealed that he will be backed by members of My Morning Jacket on the upcoming tour.

Here’s the full statement from Ray LaMontagne:

“I am very pleased to announce that the band for the upcoming “Ouroboros” Summer Tour will be Tommy Blankenship, Carl Broemel, Bo Koster, and Patrick Hallahan of My Morning Jacket.

We’ve been throwing this idea around for quite a few years now, and the stars have finally aligned. There has been such positive spiritual energy flowing throughout this entire project. From that first restless nights sleep when the album made itself clear to me, to the recording of the Album at La La Land Studio with Jim, to getting a call out of the blue ten months later that the Jacket boys wanted to back it up on the road.

There is some serious mojo surrounding this record and I think it’s going to be a very, very special run of shows”
Ray LaMontagne and the members of My Morning Jacket begin the tour at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on June 10. The tour is currently slated to run through late September. Ouroboros was produced by Ray and Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

So glad I decided to buy tickets to see him! Was on the fence until I saw Jim produced the album. And now the rest of the band is backing him up. Should be incredible! Can't wait to see what they do with some of his older material.
  • Huge MMJ fan and very excited about this tour. Got my Nashville pit tickets already :)

It can't be reused. My code was deactivated as soon as I searched for tickets. I couldn't even use it again to try and search for better seats.

Not 100% sure but you could possible get away with pre-ordering the album, get the code, buy tickets, and then cancel the pre-order...

I'd say including flight, shuttle and the small amount of cash I used... Both years are around $1,700-$1,800 or so All-In. I'm going to try and actually do an excursion this year, maybe the golf tourney.

Just looked back at my cloud 9 account. My first payment was made on 6/27. I'm guessing the lineup and room pricing will be announced in approx 2 months, with room deposits due in 2.5 - 3 months. A few tips...

We paid extra for a nicer room with a rooftop balcony -- and didn't use it at all. I will be going for a standard room this time around.

We paid for the airport shuttle service to/from the airport. Definitely worth it.

We stayed an extra night -- flew in to mexico a night early. This was great as we beat the check in lines at the resort. We will definitely be going in early again -- and will probably stay an extra night after the festival ends.

I'd be happy to see dr dog, war on drugs, and dawes all back again this year. Dr Dog especially and hopefully for 2 sets this time.

This event really is the best musical environment you can ask for. Really looking forward to it
