Didn't see a thread yet so I thought I'd fire one up.

Nice start to the season. Would've been great to sweep the White Sox but what are you going to do? I'll take a series win after that ridiculous night game on Thursday (why the Angels had to be d*cks and not move the game up a few hours is beyond me).

I think the Twins will win 90-95 easy. Tigers in 2nd and Cleveland, Chicago and KC will battle over who finishes last. I actually think the Indians will finish above Chicago. The White Sox just look old and boring. Their best players are in the starting rotation.

Outdoor baseball starts tonight and the weather is good at least temp wise. Hopefully the rain stays away.

    Boring, huh?

Boring enough to keep Minnesota on their toes..

Still bitter about '08 I see.

Sox have the best team in the AL Central on paper. They just gotta start producing on the field.

Do they hand out dictionaries to their fans as well?

Congrats on the new stadium Twins fans ... we expect full reports for those lucky enough to attend.

"On their toes"? What does that even mean? The Twins won the series.

The Sox have some great pitchers but the lineup other than Quentin is bland. Mark Teahen? Mark Kotsay? The M&M boys of blandness. Konerko is in his mid-50's now. But, hey, I love AJ!

They won the series, but by how many runs? It's not like Minnesota killed them. They had to work for it.

Thanks to MLB's f*cked up schedule the Twins had just finished a 4 game set/nightcap with the Angels and flew halfway across the country to play the Sox. Take that out of the equation and the Twins would have scored 8 runs Friday night.

Awesome new ballpark you guys got there. It will take a little while for the name "Target Field" to sink in and sound like a ballpark, but the place looks awesome!

I have tickets to see the Twins when they come to Seattle in August.

Lester didn't have his best stuff today and the Twins relished the moment in the new digs. The park looks great and is a giant step forward from the dome. Sox need to steal a game or two this series as they limp home this weekend.

  • Morneau has been dropping the ball lately. He's left about 415 guys on base so far this year. He'll come around eventually though...

C'mon Twins, let's rally and take the series!!

  • Gotta take the series today. I feel good about this one—we've got Liriano on the mound. Hopefully Wakefield's knuckle is flying all over the place and he walks about 15 batters.

Detroit is right there and Chicago is starting to play better now thanks to the awesome powerhouse of Mark Teahen and Mark Kotsay.

Wakefield has only one walk so far but the Twins are up 4-0 in the 6th!

Looks like you made the right choice, Twins up 8-0.
  • Nice drubbing of the BoSox. The Twins are now 7-3 but have been in all 10 games they've played so far. Can't wait for the club to face the Rays and Yankees and prove definitively that they can play with the best of the AL East.
