What is the worst film you've ever seen?

  • I don't like Thai food, but I figure that's because there must be something wrong with me, so I keep trying it out every couple of years. Someday, it's going to click.

I suggest you take the same approach with Wes Anderson flicks. For one, I am thankful that I live in a world where The Life Aquatic and Moonrise Kingdom exist. Someday, maybe you'll really dig Wes Anderson flicks and I'll eat mostly Thai Food. Who knows.

This same thing happened with me and Nine Inch Nails for years

  • Some friends told me to rent Hansel & Gretel Get Baked the other day. I thought they were joking, but they were persistent and said they actually really liked it. I still wouldn't have rented it, but sure enough, my wife comes home with it from the Red Box last night. Had to have been the worst movie I've ever subjected myself to watching.

Hugo. I'm sorry, I know this was critically acclaimed and what not but I just thought it was a boring piece of shit about a boy in a clock.

Such a complete piece of crap, followed up by the crap that was Alice in Wonderland.
Burton and Depp (and Mrs. Bonham-Carter-Burton for that matter) need to stop working together.

The magic of Ed Wood and Eddie Scissorhands is long gone.

 No I totally agree. There's really only so many times you can dye Johhny's hair black, whack some white powder on his face and give him some black eye liner and call it a different movie. ;)

I remember when I watched it, the opening scene and he's on the ship and suddenly breaks into song "To London"...or whatever I immediately went into eye roll mode. I know its a musical, but it was just sooooo bad.

Very true!! Stopped watching Pirates after the second one- which was crap IMO.

I don't know what Depp is doing, but he has not made many good movies for the last 10 years.

Liked his early stuff - Edward Scissorhands, Benny and Joon, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, DONNIE BRASCO (one of my favs), Ed Wood, Chocolate and Blow. The first Pirates was good also.

Movie 43 is up there for worst movie ever made and The Twilight Series and Pret-A-Porta (Robert Altman film) from the early 90's

I have loved everything Tarantino has made with the exception of the double B grade movies Death Proof and Grindhouse, which were ok. (I know they were intentionally made that way- just not my thing)
