This division is so wide open it isn't even funny. That was a game with two seriously flawed teams right there (more than just the QBs) and the Cowboys and Giants have issues too.

i had no confidence what so ever that we'd come back and win this game...kolb looked lost out there.

    update:

vick--3 broken ribs, might be out 6 weeks per d gunn...mri tomorrow

okay andy, you ruined kolb's confidence in week 1, time to build it up again.

    what a mess.

hope you're being sarcastic cuz that was an awful bet. you realize mcnabb finished with only 100 more total yards than vick despite playing 3 more quarters right?

    Went for the revenge factor

Bad bet maybe ...but it collected

What kind of reception did McNabb get?

what everyone who truly understands philadephia thought he'd get: an overwhelmingly positive ovation before the game and boos during the game. and that is 100% appropriate.

the fact that terry bradshaw said the biggest surprise of the game was the ovation mcnabb got speaks volumes about how clueless the national media is about what actually goes on around here. ridiculous.

    again--congrats to the philly fans.

And for this reason, I honestly cared less about the game. If this sounds weird, but I felt we won when the standing O came. My natural reaction was I stood up, slammed my newspaper to the ground and yelled, "that's right motherfuckers!" All I could imagine is every national douchebag who got up on their high horse before this game all week saying, "It's Philadelphia", and that they'll boo. And the funnier thing is that I'm sure that they'll all say tomorrow something along the lines of, "Hey, I was shocked. I'm glad they did that." Like we're children and it's surprising that we had it in us. THAT is why I say fuck off to all these d-bags and hope they stay the fuzz out of this city, because they know dick about this city.

It's not about caring as much as they paint a picture without knowing, and spend allll week running their mouths, but won't say shit about how they were absolutely wrong. You're right, it really doesn't matter, but it's ironic how they say Philly has a negative connotation yet they are the ones feeding/perpetuating that image.

that game was like watching paint dry. this team has 8-8 written all over it.

also, instant replay is terrible. I don't understand what the fuck takes so long to make such obvious calls. The NFL should go to the system that the NHL uses.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'm glad that kolb will be getting a shot. He didn't look too good today though. I wonder if he knew he had WRs on the field. Way too much Owen Schmidt action

Yeah, his vision downfield was totally blind. Too much short yardage, mid-field action too late in the game.

This team should be 8-8. Defense is too inconsistent, special teams is nonexistent, O-line is atrocious.

If Vick is out for 6 weeks, then I'm glad Kolb doesn't have to look over his shoulder for the next month or so...

yeah, none of this is a surprise. people were getting way too carried away with this team after wins over two shit teams.

jeags, you picked a good game to skip...the eagles game was almost as bad as this giants/bears AIDSfest

x rays were negative on vick. mri tomorrow. hopefully it's not as bad as being reported right now...

with kolb and this banged up line, 8-8 would be great. 7 is more likely. i still think vick gets you to 9 though.

i'd be interested in seeing kolb play without reid being able to do what he did to him in the packers game. snf next week too.....after a phils sweep ;)

yeah...just wish i could have said i was apart of the ovation mcnabb got though. i agree with jp--after that the game was kind of secondary. after vick went down, i really did not think we'd win no matter how close the score was.

I don't care who the QB was, that was still a brutal loss. The redskins are terrible.

Oh well, the Eagles are back page news right now anyway.

The whole league in general. How does that god awful team that we smoked last week beat the Colts?

Also, I feel like there were more commercials during today's game than I've ever seen before. Could just be me...

Yeah, you're right. I was at a buddy's place watching the games today. He practically has a sportsbook in his basement, so I didn't notice the commercials.

Nice. I just had the fav's button set to Fox, MLB Net, and Red Zone. But the flipping was getting annoying, mainly because of the Birds game.

On a related note, I think the fav's button on a remote is highly underrated/under-appreciated.

they want to be misunderstood as really in-depth thinkers as sports fans amongst a "few bad apples". of course there are eagles fans that love their team and can still think like normal people, a handful of them reside here, but philly has some real big idiots that get crazy during games, talking about them, etc. i've seen this fracturing before in boston about the sawx.

sadly i got my wish about kolb...not in this way though.
