I just don't think going to nfl games is that fun. this will be first year in a long time that I don't go to any games, but I'm usually only good for one or two a year anyway.

yes...another thing you have mentioned numerous times.

pretty telling that in this thread alone, 3 people who could have gone to the game decided not too. i'd love for the linc to be half empty on new years.

kinda wish the birds game was 1pm so i could watch tebow this afternoon.

Just found out today that the wife's family is coming to our house on xmas eve. I hope they are ready to drink and watch football. Dallas, playoff implications, and nothing to do the next day means the fixer will be in rare form.

Next week should be very interesting against Dallas and I'm hoping the Jets bounce back and beat the G-Men. Great game except for the turnovers. Also congrats to Shady McCoy on his 19th TD breaking Van Buren's old record. I wonder if Babin can beat Reggie White's sack record?

It wouldn't shock me if you guys won the division...really for the Giants to perform that bad against the skins, left me shaking my head, good for Dallas and Eagles. I do know this if I'm Garrett next week...with the Giants having the early game and if the Giants win then I rest Ware and Ratliff and Newman because if these 3 aren't at their best in week 17 the Eagles likely win the division at 8-8...the good news Reid keeps his job :P :P.

what a joke of a division. 8-8 might very well win it.

but great game by number 7 congrats to shady. what an unbelievable season he's had.

side note: does anyone else not want to see babin break reggie white's record? is it fraudulent for me to not want to see that get broken?

As great as that era was, I love Reggie, JB and the whole crew, we didn't win anything. Records are made to be broken. Look at it like this, maybe he can break Strahan's joke of a record?

Shady's a beast. Hard to believe Van Buren had 18tds in 10 games. That would be almost 30 over 16 games.

Celek got screwed. He scored because he landed on the defender and crossed the goal line.

well...it's not so much about the era as it's about a hall of famer, a complete d end, one of the best to ever play the game verses a sack specialist. reggie did it in only 13 games too.

i thought celek scored too. i like the way he's been consistently fighting game in, game out (even the seattle game when it looked like most of the team quit).

i think vb did it in 12 games. still amazing though

  • Reggie had 21 sacks in 12 games in 1987, not 13. No Eagles broke the picket line, unlike some teams from Texas that I know of. If Babin breaks the team record I hope he breaks the NFL record too.

8-8 division winners should get the 6 seed instead of the 4 - the good team that won the Wild Card should get the playoff home game instead. The division title should get you into the playoffs, and nothing more.

tough year, but I don't know what kind of opportunity they wasted. most eagle fans complain about making the playoffs and not winning it all. well, this team was never good enough (even on paper) to win it all. They are probably the most talented team in the division, so if you want to say a missed opportunity to win the nfc east again then I'd agree. This team was never capable of beating the packers or saints (I'd include 9ers in there too) come playoff time though.

awful season, but I like how they are letting some of the young guys get more time. Phillip Hunt looks like a player. Matthews may have found his role as a passing down LB. Brian Rolle has gotten some time (think we need to see more on him). Kelce and Watkins both look like they should be solid players.

They will have a lot of work to do this offseason. They have to find a safety (not sure why jarrett hasn't played more). Coleman and Allen are horrendous. I'd love to see them use an early pick on their QB the future so they can show vick the door after 2012 (when they can apparently get out of his contract without taking a huge cap hit).

It was really nice of the NFL to give the Giants 3 home games to finish out the year. Their away game this week week is at NYJ.

Giants are not especially good at home anyways - they really never have been. I think the Eagles have won a higher percentage of games up there than at home vs. the Giants. Their fans are too quiet to give them a big advantage, because they've all had season tixx for 40 years.

He is 15-11 vs. Dallas, but only 6-8 in the last 14 games.

The Reid argument is pointless, as I'm sure he's not going anywhere after the predicted (by me - other people here love to gloat about their successful predictions) late season revival.

By the way, who else predicted that the Cardinals would be a bitch to beat in the playoffs - oh wait that was me too. Sorry, am I repeating myself? Nobody else here does that.
