so that mean yankee bandwagon fans aren't frauds, really now? one of my very many little cousins is now a yankee fan. this kid grew up loving the mets to death. he could rattle off every player that played on the 06 mets like no tomorrow. now cause of the mets sucking the past few years he's had a enough and decided to become a yankees fan.

i feel if you been a knicks fan your whole life and now are a bk nets fan your a fraud. the only way you wouldn't be a fraud for switching to the nets from the knicks is if you were a true Brooklynite.

Well, all Yankee's fans are frauds. ;)

I was a 49ers fan until the 5th grade until all the SB wins got to be too much and I started following the hopeless Colts. :) But the truth was my friends were Colts fans, I started going to the games, and I was hooked ... even though they sucked. I think by 14 there should be no turning back. The only exception is if you root for a college team and then end up going to a rival school.

no true buckeye fan would consider attending that school up north. :nono:

I should note that this non-fraudulent exemption also includes the prerequisite that you are attending your rival school because it is an in-state public school and your favorite school does not offer a degree in which you desire or it is private. :ugeek:

Most states have two public universities and most in-state public universities are rivals. If you want to go pre-med and your rival offers it, your stuck.

College today is too expensive. Public schools are close to $20K and out of state can be $35K w/ private getting close to $50K. If it take five years to get a degree, that could be an extra $150K just to be loyal to a sports team.

I would hope people that spend money to go to college are not that dumb.

GF's daughter has her heart set on a private 45K a year school. Combo of loans grants and ascolarships with awork study program gets her in for 1st year.

She started that process late. She doesnt like sports, so this was really irrelevant to the topic at hand!!

i have to read this article but knicks fans are not allowed to "become" nets fans. that's a bunch of baloney. it is BALONEY.

and your little cousin is absolutely a fraud. you should have a chat with his father.

what's the official max age at which you can change teams without being considered a fraud?

i'm assuming it has to be the legal drinking age or less? correct?

for the fraud-callerouters i've been wondering...are you as faithful to a partner as you are to your team? by your logic shouldn't you marry the first person you date and if you don't you're a fraud?

Loyalty to a sports team is only controlled by one brain while being faithful to a partner is controlled by two. :geek:
