    Reyes out 2-8 weeks with a thyroid problem. Who the hell even knows what their thyroid levels are?? The kid is a 26 year old professional athlete..what a fucking joke....should kick myself for expecting different results with this shitty team..

    I know. My mom is a thyroid cancer survivor for 10 years. She takes a medication called synthroid every morning.

    i know a could people who have a thyroid condition. its not a lot of fun. your weight really can fluctuate. it's not too common so thats why champ may not have heard about a pro athlete having it though.

    either way....i LOVE this thread for comedy relief! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

    step right up aaaaand.... :lol::lol::lol:

    I've heard of thyroid problems, but typically it occurs with women, and it's the slow kind that causes weight gain, not the hyper form that's afflicting Jose....but yes, I have never heard of a pro athlete being sidelined due to this..and we're not talking about your average baseball player here either as Jose is considered one of the fastest and most athletic players in the game....eh whatever, glad you're enjoying the show ;) ..

    what's their over/under? i would say mid 80's sounds about right...if they stay healthy.

    what is the deal with the mets having that "situation" guy throwing out the first pitch next week? good lord. what, snooky wasn't available? :mrgreen:

    So Metsy, now you have your wish of Jacobs over Murphy...he looked pretty fucking awful and hit cleanup no less, killing a few potential rallies going 0-5....hope he improves or at least gets dropped in the lineup asap..

    Was at the Met game, but did notice the lopsided score and figured the Nats received a pretty decent beating by the defending NL champs..congrats....and it's no secret that the Phills are good, but once our two stars come back (Reyes and Beltran) you best be scared..oh wait, with the exception of Santana, our starting pitching rotation may be the worst in the division....but anyway, lick my yambag ;) ..

    A coworker of mine attended the opening day festivities yesterday,

    He told me that there are 2 guys on the team using PJ / Backspacer tunes as they come up to bat .
    One was the new Bey guy, didnt know the other, or the tunes .

    I was there and only heard The Fixer for Bey (each at bat)... It doesn't exactly go with the salsa music that the rest of the batting order has... :lol:

    Not only both teams in NY have a heavy Latin / Hispanic presence ,
    i would even guess alot of mlb as a whole has more Hispanics then ever before.

    Bay definitely likes the band, he said so in a Q and A in the Sunday post a few weeks ago.

    How about now? He has one hit so far and looks completely lost out there..it's not like he hit a couple of unlucky line drives or something either....way off, like embarrassing off....just admit you were wrong and maybe Murphy would have fared at least a little better at this point :D ....

    Anyway, I was at the game today...so sick of fucking Perez..I wish we could trade him for a sack of balls or something....also, Pearl Jam or no Pearl Jam, Jason Bay can lick my balls....god awful..
