Yeah Yeah Yeah, so you think i'm ignorant. Come on over to my house and watch how much sleep I lose. At least i'm still not suffering from B.D.S..... Bush Derangement Syndrome. There's two people that STILL blame Bush for everything...that's YOU and OBAMA

Speaking of blame, it's hilarious how the right wants to blame Obama for EVERYTHING. Your local fire truck could break down and it would be Obama's fault. Or Obama could bring about world peace and you'd be mad because you don't get as many chances to shoot your guns.
And nothing was Bush's fault. That guy was a tool and everyone now knows it. He wasn't smart enough to recieve any of the blame. Cheney on the other hand....well lets just say the wrong guy got shot in the face.

Here's an (ignorant idea), why don't we let ins. co. compete nation wide which will make things more competitive which should lower cost. Ummm, as far as blaming Obama for stuff....did you know that he is the president? Local fire truck comment is rediculous, If he created world peace I could still go deer hunting and shoot my guns, never said nothing was Bush's fault, he's been recieving blame from this administration since day one which tells me Obama does not know how to recieve blame, and as far as the wrong guy getting shot in the face....i thought you were a hippie...peace love and happiness for ALL.......you waste my time and my emotions, this racist takes your posts with a shrug.

See, you know nothing about me. I am far from being a hippie. I favorite food is steak. I enjoy all kinds of fighting. UFC, boxing, war movies etc. I play and excel at countless sports. I would have no problem with Cheney taking a shotgun blast to the face. My political leanings are to the left because I have a brain. Nothing to do with being a hippie.

there was a well respected economics journal article that said this idea, mccain's idea, this ignorant idea would not reduce costs at all, let alone as signigicantly as these people on the right would have you believe. that argument is tired and proved to be a farce, and is the same argument i have seen you righties on here spouting in the other healthcare threads. if i get around to looking for it i will post it. if you are as informed as you claim to be you should have heard of it by now.
"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
So now your saying you have no idea ? But your previous post you said "He delibertly lied to the nation to get us into a war". :?
Now you're parsing my quotes. Please go back to my original post and find that was I actually said was:
After 8 years of an absolutely incompetent, lawless, and arrogant Republican administration....invaded Afghanistan even though the Taliban offered to turn over bin Laden to us and there was already a series of negotiations from the Clinton administration to extradite him, and when bin Laden was cornered in Tora Bora, he was shockingly and inexplicably allowed to escape. To say nothing of purposely lying the nation into a war with a country (Iraq) that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack, costing us the lives of over 4000 American young men and women, and countless Iraqi civilians.
I never made any particular allegation as to what Bush's personal motives were. You're the one who brought it up. I'm just putting down what's expressly known.
Look man with all due respect if your going to post links you need to find links that are not far left and that are'nt over 5 years old before I will even consider taking them seriously. All the left wing sites do is take everything out of context and you only hear one side of the argument or story.
I'm not sure what your problem is. The only reason I put up those links were because they put up a summary of the lies that were told by the previous administration. I'm not in any mood to scrounge up individual articles and news sources - I don't have the time, nor the inclination, to do your research for you.
Besides, the ones I cited, particularly the Mother Jones link, were extensively sourced. If you can prove their sources wrong, then be my guest.
Furthermore, calling them "left-wing sites" is simply a strawman argument. The truth is not left wing nor right wing - it's simply the truth.
If FOX started broadcasting unbiased and untainted news instead of right wing opinion masquerading as news, I'd hail them for it. And I'm even more perplexed at your objection to those links being more than 5 years old - the authoritative history of the Roman Empire is still Edward Gibbon's The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire - which is over 200 years old.

Switzerland does that - there's no government single payer program there - the health insurance system is run by private companies.
However, the Swiss regulate the insurance companies extensively, like a utility. Health care in Switzerland is forbidden from being a profit driven industry, kinda like the way your water and electricity utilities are.
Therefore it's prohibited for them to arbitrarily raise rates, to cut off policy holders when they're deemed too expensive, they're prohibited from denying claims arbitrarily, and they're also prohibited from lobbying the government and giving bribes, I mean, "campaign contributions" to politicians to influence their votes.
So sure, I'm all for giving it to the private companies, as long as they do their job, and don't gouge us for every cent we have and leave us out to dry when we really need health care.

So would this be a healthcare system that you could live with even though the government is involved by regulating the system????

This is where you (and Rush and Sean and Glenn) go off the track.
You fail to place responsibility where it falls. Former President Bush created the situation that exists in Afghanistan and Iraq by abandoning the Afghanistan War in 2003 to go into Iraq, with no contingency plan or exit strategy. Bush also helped to create the financial collapse by failing to intervene when banks and investment houses were gambling with bad debt.
Former President Bush has been receiving the blame because... he is the responsible party. What ever happened to that Conservative tenet, Personal Responsibility? Don't you... as a Conservative, believe that people should be personally responsible and accountable for their actions and decisions? And as a Conservative... how do you reconcile the actions and decisions of the President from 2001 to 2008 not creating the situations and consequences of 2001 to 2008?

I don't look at it as Bush created the situation. I believe Al Qaida created the situation. And I can understand people being angry at Bush for Iraq, but, as far as my own personal view, I had a deep seeded hatred for Sadam Hussien. I've read too many books and stories on how he dictated things and I feel this world and especially Iraq is much better without him. I don't get it sometimes, everyone gets really angry when it comes to torture(such as waterboarding etc.) but when it came to Sadam nobody cared enough to want to do anything about it. Yes Bush lied(maybe) about WMD's...but I just don't care....Sadam had to go! Thats just always been my view on Ithe Iraq situation.

Don't get off subject... do you believe that a person should be held responsible for their actions and the consequences of their actions... no matter how well intended they were?
I don't care what justification or rationale you try to tie to those decisions... the decision to divert military resources from afghanistan towards Iraq was Bush's decision... right?

I believe this is where you fall off track. Yes, Bush created debt, but you think he created all debt. Obama has done his share of creating alot of debt in very very little time. It's been a year now and i've never heard a president before place so much blame for so long on the previous. Obama is the President of the United States, he needs to stand up and be a man and stop trying to make himself look perfect all the time. This is such a bullshit argument and you know it. If you were so worried about Saddam then where is all the right sides worry about Kim Jong-il and Hu Jintao???? Both of these leaders have countries that have used torture and worse. And they actually have WMD's for certain. How come you aren't rushing to invade North Korea and China????

You keep skirting all of Cosmo's questions. Cosmo, myself and many liberals on here have stated our disdain with the Obama administration. You see, we actually admit when we think we have done something wrong or when we feel our leaders are not doing the job we think they should. Regardless of affiliation. But neocons like yourself can never admit when anyone in your group has shit the bed. Just say it out loud "Bush was a terrible president". You'll feel better.

You cannot skirt the subject by trying to divert the attention to something that is unrelated.
Bush created the current situation that caused President Obama to react to. And YES... I am going to hold President Obama accountable for his decisions and actions... but, i'm not going to blame him for the damages caused by the water he throws on the fire that was started by Bush.

there is some good debate going on here now. i agree with brandon and cosmo. what i feel everyone is forgetting is that bush referred to himself as "the decider", yet we all know this man was too much of a buffoon to decide much. when i picture one of his cabinet meetings, i imagine the "smart guys" like rummy, cheney, and wolfowitz doing all of the planning and speaking while bush sat in the front of the room sucking his thumb and wearing a dunce cap while these other guys made all of the decisions. he was far from the smartest man in the room, and as a result he is not entirely to blame, but his cabinet are just as guilty as he is. all bush ever did was signed his name and muttered a few very stupid, grammatically incorrect sentences to the media.
obama is at least looking into and trying to repair some of the damage done by the bush administration. its going to take longer than one year to fix 8 years of stupidity.

I gueess i'm the one on the stand here taking all the questions and not asking any, and if I don't answer these questions with enough Bush bashing then I have failed. Where did I skirt the subject...I don't see it. I think it just looks like I skirted the subject(to you)because I didn't bash Bush enough to your liking even though I gave you a very open an honest answer. I don't believe Obama threw water on the fire but fuel. Some people choose to see that and some people don't.
Krauthammer defined Bush Derangement Syndrome as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush".[1][2] While Krauthammer's column was somewhat tongue-in-cheek (eg., "What is worrying epidemiologists about the Dean incident, however, is that heretofore no case had been reported in Vermont, or any other dairy state"), the term indicates a belief that some extreme criticisms of President Bush are of emotional origins rather than based on facts or logic. The term has occasionally been adopted by other writers in the political arena.[3][4][5]

... Ummm, as far as blaming Obama for stuff....did you know that he is the president? Local fire truck comment is rediculous, If he created world peace I could still go deer hunting and shoot my guns, never said nothing was Bush's fault, he's been recieving blame from this administration since day one which tells me Obama does not know how to recieve blame, and as far as the wrong guy getting shot in the face....i thought you were a hippie...peace love and happiness for ALL.......you waste my time and my emotions, this racist takes your posts with a shrug.
...
What ever happened to that Conservative pillar, Personal Responsibility?
I thought you never used the word "hate"...I see you only use forms of the word "hate"...
Charles Krauthammer is a partisan, hateful, fear mongering, war hawk, bush apologist, douchebag. for some reason i'm not surprised some people on this board read his drivel...

But why the need for insurance companies in the first place???
I think you're blinded by your hatred for Obama...
Hate is a very strong word....I never use it.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
To quote Stephen Colbert, "Reality has a well known liberal bias".
This is NOT a liberal with a brain.
This IS a liberal with a brain.
So would this be a healthcare system that you could live with even though the government is involved by regulating the system????

Don't get off subject... do you believe that a person should be held responsible for their actions and the consequences of their actions... no matter how well intended they were?
I don't care what justification or rationale you try to tie to those decisions... the decision to divert military resources from afghanistan towards Iraq was Bush's decision... right?
Hail, Hail!!!
of course I believe a person should be held resposible for their actions....when they break the law, not when he does something I do not agree with. Yes it was Bush's decision...never said it wasn't
Then, WHY do you place the responsibility of Bush's decisions on President Obama's shoulders?
Bush was responsible for his decisions... decisions which had consequences that developed into situations such as the financial meltdown... shouldn't BUSH be the one who assumes responsibility and is accountable?
...
And don't get me wrong... i am holding President Obama responsible for HIS decisions and actions... such as maintaining this lost cause in Afghanistan. I beleive in personal responsibility... and I believe that placing the blame on someone just because you don't like them is NOT a tenet of Conservatism.
Hail, Hail!!!
So tell me mr.intelligent? Why do you love insurance companies soooo much? Enlighten me.
And as far as not liking Obama.... if I don't like his beliefs I don't like him I guess...can't argue that one. Don't you feel that Obama gets alot of slack due to Bush Derangement Syndrome?
This is such a bullshit argument and you know it. If you were so worried about Saddam then where is all the right sides worry about Kim Jong-il and Hu Jintao???? Both of these leaders have countries that have used torture and worse. And they actually have WMD's for certain. How come you aren't rushing to invade North Korea and China????
FAIL
You keep skirting all of Cosmo's questions. Cosmo, myself and many liberals on here have stated our disdain with the Obama administration. You see, we actually admit when we think we have done something wrong or when we feel our leaders are not doing the job we think they should. Regardless of affiliation. But neocons like yourself can never admit when anyone in your group has shit the bed. Just say it out loud "Bush was a terrible president". You'll feel better.
Well... there you go again...
You cannot skirt the subject by trying to divert the attention to something that is unrelated.
Bush created the current situation that caused President Obama to react to. And YES... I am going to hold President Obama accountable for his decisions and actions... but, i'm not going to blame him for the damages caused by the water he throws on the fire that was started by Bush.
...
And please... "Bush Derangement Syndrome"? Really? What does that mean, anyway? Does it mean former President Bush is free of all of the consequences of his decisions? What?
Hail, Hail!!!
obama is at least looking into and trying to repair some of the damage done by the bush administration. its going to take longer than one year to fix 8 years of stupidity.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
