i think he is having it next month actually. it's a non surgical procedure. same think kobe and arod have had done in recent years. involves stem cells so he has to go to germany to have it done. that's literally all i know about it. he should be fine

Personally, I think Bynum's best years are ahead of him. With the right coaching, leadership, team morale, and teammates, he could have a very bright career.

If only Bynum could've been paired with Lou Williams.

All in all, the 76ers will be a fun team to watch.

    Glad to see the excitement!

lou williams is too much of a volume shooter for this team. he was nice as some instant offense off the bench when they needed it (nick young fills that role now). i think they're better off without him at this point.

    You'd know better than me.

I only followed the Sixers in the Celtics/Sixers series (an entertaining one), and the 3rd Jazz game last year when we got our first win.

so in addition to tom penn, the sixers are apparently also interested in celtics assistant gm, mike zarren, as their next gm.

love this out of the box thinking.

thank god ed snider doesn't own this team anymore.

Jazz made a similar GM move this off season. Always great to see your team making gutsy, but good moves.

    3 weeks from tomorrow...

i read that "don't put me in coach" book this summer about the ohio state walk on basketball player. evan turner is one fucking weird ass dude. ....3rd year in. i have a feeling he breaks out here. something like like 15/7/4-ish. him and jrue have apparently established themselves as leaders in camp so far. young thadeous has added 20 pds of muscle. he has seemed to fade down the stretch so that will have to help.

season cannot get here fast enough.

nice to win a game handily when you don't play that well. good start.

holiday didn't shoot well but took over at the end and outplayed lawson. i would like to see him post up more against a smaller pg though.

spencer hawes is in BEAST MODE again.

new guys looked okay. those shots are going to fall more frequently. and when bynum's back, it will open up even better looks.

turner's gotta start making those mid range shots asap. he did play adequate defense and limited iggy to 11 pts on 13 shots which is pretty bad.

i think they will be okay if bynum misses the first month or so. first few weeks of the schedule isn't that difficult. get healthy big fella...

good deal for jrue and the sixers. didn't go max and its slightly less than lawson and curry and above derozan's. i think he's on the cusp of being an all star caliber player so if they waited, they may have had to give him more to match an offer next summer. if he has a decent year, he just got paid in line with what the other guys in his class got.

this is one building block. the next is bynum if/when his knees get better.

    onward and upward gentlemen.

I was carving pumpkins last night with the game on in the background. I hope this isn't the same Hawes we saw last year for 10 games and then disappeared. Did they show the gigantic tshirt launcher on tv?

so much depth on this team again this year. nice to see n young and wright step it up on the back end of a back to back.

other than the turnovers, which should revert back to where they've been for his career eventually, i think jrue holiday is turning into one of the better point guards in the league.

so looks like early january will be when bynum may make his debut.

i am all for taking as much time as is necessary. no need to rush him back. gotta think long term.

this team should be able to remain around .500 till then.

Watched tonight's game, though disappointing for the Sixers, for the most part was a really good game. One thing that stood out is the lack of a post presence Lavoy Allen has provided so far. I was impressed with Richardson's game, though the Sixers might have won had he not gone 3-of-9 after starting 5-of-7.

well it is because he has the ball in his hands way more than the first 3 years of his career. it's an adjustment and it should level out to closer where they've been though...especially when the big man gets in there.

but he has improved in literally every other category though. it's been fun watching him finally have the keys to the offense.
