and they played like shit down the stretch and noah called the team out for it's lack of defense lately.

on the bright side...deng is still struggling with his busted up wrist, CJ is still hurting with his busted up ankle and most importantly...Rose is out with a bad groin

rose misses a lot of time huh? didn't realize he was out again.

    we get hawes back tonight.

This year he has missed about a dozen games so far with toe, back and now groin issues. Before this year he had only missed a handful of games over three seasons

    well here we are.

17 games left. tied for first.

10 of those games are against teams that, on paper, they should beat even though most are on the road. i thought they'd end up with 36-38 wins. i think that's about where they will end up.

celts only have 5 of those types of teams left on the schedule.

iggy out again tonight. i'm interested in seeing kyrie irving play. he missed the first game we played them.

please doug, let turner be your point guard. :x

like he's still feeling his way back into things. overall, tentative and rather soft...kinda like last year.

well that is a good thing. i mean they're not winning a championship this year.

9 more of those games left. win the majority of them and pull off an upset or two and i think they win the division or at least get the 5 seed...and then they'd have a decent shot at winning a round for the first time in forever.

couple days off here is sorely needed...

i can handle a loss so long as the young buck plays well. solid effort by turner. hopefully iguadala is okay. that looked pretty disgusting. dude had some nasty dunks

i don't understand doug removing turner with about 3 minutes to go in the 2nd after he scored like 11 points in a row though. felt like they lost some momentum.

back on the horse tonight. must win.

according to you this team plays a lot of must wins. amazing they are still alive

last night was a playoff preview (and the heat didn't even have wade). more of the same.......

you think they can afford a loss tonight?

heat is 9-1 without wade. without him they are still one of the best teams in the league.

sure they can afford a loss. just like they could afford losses in all of the other 'must win' annointed games you've thrown out there. there are 13 games left. still a ways to go and bostons schedule is pretty tough

my definition of must win is that if a team loses their season is over...or they are losing control of handling their own destiny. I'm guessing your definition is different

you know my philosophy. this team is better off going to the lottery. I know they are getting to playoffs again. and it's most likely gonna be the same story we've seen for the last 10 years. not good times
  • The JugglerThe Juggler Posts: 48,466
my definition is different i guess. in a 66 game season, i think there are going to be quite a few must wins.

there's not a lot of games left. and they only play boston once more. so i don't think they can afford to lose any of these games against teams they should beat at this point in the season.

yes i know your philosophy about the lottery....as we've discussed it many many times.

they are fine if they lose tonight. definitely not a must win

not like any of this matters since this team blows. again

can't wait for the .500 party this year. that's always fun
  • The JugglerThe Juggler Posts: 48,466
if they lose and the celtics win, they're down 3 games with only 12 to play. to me, that's not being in a "fine" situation.

not much margin for error at this point in the season.
