Hahahahah, replace king with stefanski and that is exactly it.

It was hilarious. I honestly think you or I could do a better job than he did. It was a complete joke.

Speaking of the sixers being poorly run. When I worked for the sixers we had monthly meetings with Billy king where he would update us on everything and we would have an open forum to ask questions. Now I know he wasn't going to tell the marketing guys anything too in depth but let's just say these were the most pathetic meetings I have ever been in. He had no strategy, no direction, no ideas, no nothing. It was a running joke how idiotic the guy running the team was.

That's pretty funny. And exactly what I picture sixers meetings being like.

Can you imagine being a fly on the wall during trade talks?

'We have a chance to get hawes and nocioni!!'

'Awesome, let's trade 2010's most valuable asset (dalembert's expiring contract)'

'Great idea...the guys we are getting suck and we will be stuck with nocioni for 3 years. It's a perfect fit'

    'Great meeting guys, good work'

Paxson was high when he was handing out contracts.

This team is so poorly run it's funny. absolutely no direction at all whatsoever

how did they save money? ... dalembert has had a history of not getting along with teammates ... i mean - he got booted from team canada and we have like no talent in this country so ... ya gotta be a major cancer to get booted off here ...

right. that trade was all about doug collins not wanting him infecting his team. i don't blame him. dalemberts a bum. his numbers are down this year too. they are pretty comparable to hawes actually. def happy he's not here.

iguadala's a bum too. i know you love the dude but if you watch him night in night out, you'd see how he just disappears for long stretches of time...then comes up miserably small in clutch time. the abreu comparison is spot on.

if you watch this team on a nightly basis, and i think i might be the only one in here who does  , you'd see this is a fun team to watch. they play hard are in every game, play good d, and turn the ball over less per game than anyone else in the league. they're getting better.

just get rid of iguadala and throw turner in to give him more minutes.

It was a terrible trade. You don't give away assets like dalembert's expiring contract. Especially when you have to take on 3 years of andres nocioni. I am not a dalembert fan, but he is wayyy better than anyone in their frontcourt.

This team is a joke...they're going nowhere. Just a horribly run franchise

yeah. your opinion of the team sounds like that of a casual fan who just expects them to be terrible though.

if you watch them on a nightly basis, it's tough not to recognize their improvement. they're fun to watch.

thought the phils weren't part of that package because of comcast?

I don't find them fun to watch at all. If anything they are frustrating to watch. I like Young (who might not even be back next year) and Holiday. And I do like Doug Collins. Other than that they are AIDS.

The Extra Inning s Package is thru MLB. Not sure what you mean about the phils.

yeah i don't know. all their games are competitive. after the horrendous start they've been playing quite well, especially at home.

regarding the extra inning package, i thought comcast blacks them out....or you can only get the opposing team's broadcast or something? could be wrong though.

they black out the local teams games. so I won't be able to get the O's or nats games on the package...it will be on local TV down there.

The only shitty part about the package is that some of the saturday afternoon games get blacked out if they are part of the Fox broadcast. And no high def, which is ridiculous

As for the sixers, I know they've won some games at home, but most have been against shitty teams. Other than the bulls, have they beaten anyone good?

They will get the 7 or 8 seed and get drilled in the first round. Same shit every year. My biggest issue with this franchise is that there doesn't seem to be any semblance of a long term plan

The team in the market that you live is always blacked out. Most nights you don't have a choice of broadcasts.

Yeah, he was bad. Their play by play guy is terrible too. The Nats, Cards, D-backs, and Pirates announcers are all brutal. There are a lot of quality NL broadcast teams...Cubs and Dodgers are the best. Mets, giants, Rocks, and marlins are really good.

Man, I can't wait for baseball

Yeah, the Satuday thing blows. I usually end up listening to them on the radio. I am crossing my fingers comcast figures their shit out and has HD this year. So fucking absurd the pacakge doesn't have HD. I have been thinking about going to Direct TV but it seems like such a hassle to switch. That way I would get YES too so I can see the pregame and post game.

Yeah, they are all brutal. Bert Byleven is the worst for me, no bigger homer in the world. I think it's awesome that Scully is solo, so fucking cool.

Scully is great. He just spews information during games. I feel like I learn something every time I listen to him. I could listen to him announce anything. I'd even watch NASCAR if he announced it. well, probably not, but I'd consider it.

The White Sox guys are the absolute worst in my opinion. I root against them because I think Hawk Harrelson is the biggest douche ever

no shit? i'm still at work and didn't realize they were playing tonight...
hollinger on espn insider recently said they have the 5th best bench in the league.

nice line for the rook tonight. 14, 8 and 5 in 33 minutes. iguadala on the other hand: 8, 2, and 3 in 32 minutes. get rid of this dude so we can let these young bucks grow together asap.

young thadeous with a monster night too, it looks like.

hollinger has them winning 38 games at this point. i'll take an 11 game turn around over last year. if it were not for that horrendous start they'd probably end up around where knicks probably will....43 wins or so.

he's not so much a douche, he's just way to homerific and his play calls are terrible.

Stone is good, and imo, the radio guys are solid.

dude. these are not the nets or the cavs or the timberwolves. there's too much talent on this team not to win these games. they're not as horrible as you think or would like them to be. been trying to tell you that since the summer time. your expectations aren't correct. what good is it for them to miss the playoffs by a couple games and having a .007% shot at a top 3 pick? that's not gonna happen. winning these games are good for this team. trading iguadala and giving turner more time would be even better. they're learning how to win.

they remind me of the phils 10 years ago. i can understand why some people don't like watching them at this point. they're not winning a championship obviously. but they've been improving with each game. to me it's fun to watch a young team develop, even if people won't be jumping on the bandwagon for quite some time. this is night and day compared to last year.

I don't know what you're so excited about. They are going nowhere. I'd rather have them absolutely tank, play the young guys, and add a top 10 draft pick.

The NBA is all about star players. Can't win without them. The Sixers problem is that they don't have any. And they are tough to find outside of the top 5-10 picks in the draft.

I just can't get excited about this team. Zero direction whatsoever

just for fun, i looked back at the 76ers draft history.

    no wonder they suck.

passed over kobe to take AI.

but than again, it's always easy to look back. Bulls have made some boneheaded moves on draft day as well.
