So I found out today that I have a viral infection, could be mono or thereabouts (walking pneumonia is also a possibility). Regardless, I can't have a drink for at least 4 weeks, and will have to ease back into the game slowly. Not sure if this is for the worst or better, but am pretty fucking pissed I can't even look at this thread for awhile.
Had some interesting beers on my recent trip to Nashville.
Jackalope Brewing Co -
Casper - a nice white, was even better when the bartender didn't throw in any fruit right away.
Bear Mountain - brewed with maple syrup, but not thick in consistency, very nice beer.
Thunder Ann IPA - typical IPA, but well balanced with the hops, not trying for any IBU records.
Yazoo Brewing - Dos Perros - a nice dark ale, but very crisp in flavor and light in consistency.
And my surprise beer was Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale a very good tasting beer. The only downfall was finding out the original brewer (Lexington Distillery) was bought out by InBev. So I have found a Bud product that I like outside of Michelob Amberbock!!
