Yeah, so before I moved to Oregon, I used to just like Corona. Since I have moved, I have been exposed to lots of breweries around the northwest: Widmer, Deschutes, Pyramid, etc etc etc...

The beer from these places is amazing. I am currently enjoying Pyramid's Apricot Ale...good stuff...

So what is all your beers of choice?

Sam Adams Octoberfest is my favorite. But since it's only available for 3 months out of the year, I will go with Sam Light or Bud. Blue Moon and Killians are other faves of mine.

  • I live in Madison, WI and there are some really good micro breweries here such as Capital Brewery and New Glarus Spotted Cow. Capital Brewery has a lot of good seasonal beers like Sam Adams has, as well as great non-seasonal varieties... I haven't had one that I disliked (the best is the Honey Porter). The Great Dane Pub and Brewery is a great restaurant and pub that has its own microbrewery right in the pub itself. They had about sixteen different unique beers and they all rock.

But I am with you all the way... I didn't use to be a beer drinker when I thought Budweiser, MGD, etc were the only options. But once I discovered microbreweries and all of their amazing craft beers, I definitely became a beer lover. My favorite beers are dark beers (i.e. Guinness, etc), but I'll try anything. I want to try Mead, but I have yet to come across it.

Sam Adams Octoberfest is my favorite.

man after my own heart... ;) I jest as I know you are taken!

but Octoberfest and Sam Summer, love them both. Sam Light otherwise. Smuttynose is another brewery that I like - Old Brown Dog and the IPA.

Widmer Hefeweizen is by far the best!!! IMHO

In the NW you can't lose, too many great beers to chose from. Have had many of the different Rogue brews also all good.

Another I had at a brewfest was Allagash Triple. I've found a bottle of Quadruple locally and it is very strong(over 10%) but just doesn't have the same flavor as the one I had at the brewfest.

Micro-brewed beer is the best. SLC has a brewery named Uinta and their Golden Spike Hefeweizen is irresistable.

A wedge of lemon in a frosty cold mug....I'm in heaven...

I'm planning on investing in a home brewing kit soon to start making my own. I need a new hobby. :?
