  • So its £15 that reserves you 2 tickets IF you want to buy them after you see the lineup. If you don't want tickets that £15 down the tube.

Still its not a bad idea if you go often to that venue.

Yeah, but often the tickets sell out pretty quickly when they get to general release, and the way I look at it it's effectively it's £15 to charity or what I would pay for a few drinks ;)
The only thing is they release each night individually, so you get tickets to one only for the next one to be announced to be better which is rubbish if you can only afford to go to a couple of shows. I'm lucky enough to have gone to them all for the last few years and various ones before that. It is a good venue, and they only put on these shows each year, no more. They are usually in June/July so I may well miss some this year.
    2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton.
    2012 - Manchester i & ii, Berlin i & ii, Stockholm. 2014 - Amsterdam i & ii, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin, Leeds, Milton Keynes.
    2016 - Boston Fenway i & ii, 2018 - Amsterdam i & ii, Pinkpop, London i & ii, Padova, Krakow, Barcelona, Seattle i & ii.

I think we'll be ok at the Anchor Guesthouse, although I'm not sure the owners there know what they have let themselves in for.

Just bought my Eden Inside Track membership for this year as they are going to start releasing who's playing the Eden Sessions soon. It would be perfect for a Pearl Jam warm up gig!!

Nicely on the Eden thing, didn't know they did that, good thing though as it gives you a chance of getting tickets. I had tickets for Peter Gabriel the other year but ended up being ill and unable to go, mega gutted about that. Who do you reckon will be there this year?
The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits

Don't know, but I shall be trying to find out. Last year I knew in advance as my friend works for the Regional Development Agency and Eden needed some funds, so she had meetings there all the time, kept overhearing who was being booked.
I've heard they've been talking to the Glastonbury organisers about who they are booking as in the past some of the people playing Eden have been used it as a warm up for the festival. I didn't go to Peter Gabriel but friends did, said it was good. He's played there a couple of times now, as he's played outside of the sessions as well when the core building was opened etc. I had heard they wanted Muse to play again and had approached them as apparantly they loved the gig they did there in 2006.

After much thinking and weighing up the logistics I decided today that I definately can't make any of the shows over the water  I thought maybe Holland or France might happen but being a father of 4 young children I've had to take a sensible approach. For once!! :D Still got Dublin, Belfast and London to look forward to though and maybe they'll announce a Scotland date when they announce Greece and Italy eh! Here's hoping anyway.

I like that idea. Instead of all of the TC presale info (that is outdated) put all the relevant info on the first page. Some very good info there D so it might be easier to find there.

The Eden Project down here runs a series of sessions each summer, they put a stage in amongst the biomes. It holds about 6000 and the sound quality is great. There is normally a good atmosphere, everyone on cider or pimms  and the smell on dope fills the air.
They run a membership scheme to get advanced notification of who is playing and it basically reserves you 2 tickets before they go on general release. They are a charity so basically the bands have to want to play there as they can't pay them very much.
In the past they've had some good people play, and we don't often get people playing down this way, it's nice to go whoever is playing really.
2002 - Pulp, Show of Hands, Spiritualized
2003 - PJ Harvey, Moby, Badly Drawn Boy
2004 - Brian Wilson, Air, Supergrass
2005 - Peter Gabriel, Ian Brown (with support from Badly Drawn Boy and British Sea Power) Basement Jaxx, Embrace (with support from Hard Fi), Keane (with support from The Editors)
2006 - Snow Patrol, Muse, Goldfrapp, The Magic Numbers (with support from Jose Gonzales)
2007 - James Morrison, Rufus Wainwright, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen (with support from Mark Ronson), Pet Shop Boys
2008 - KT Tunstall (with support from Guillemots), Kaiser Chiefs, Bill Bailey, The Raconteurs (with support from Vampire Weekend), The Verve
2009 - Oasis, The Kooks (with support from Ladyhawke), Paul Weller (with support from Florence and the machine), Razorlight, Kasabian
