    The alternate universe is 2004 which was the time when the plane crashed. The people on the island are in 2009.

    Island time is 2007, not 2009. Remember Jack, Kate, Sun, etc. were off-island for 3 years when they boarded Ajira 316 to come back to the island. That's where Sun ended up when the rest went to 1977. Now the 1977 people are back to 2007.

    I seem to remember feeling kind of unimpressed and let down at this point last season with the time travel shifts. Sort of wondering what kind of craziness had been added to the show and how were they going to make this work. So I'm hoping it will start to improve as we go. Right now, I'm just kind of confused, and not in that enjoyable, mess-with-your-mind Lost way. :? :| :think:
