Really liked the episode last night. Definitely my favorite so far. Ethan as Claires doctor was great. Looks like they the characters can't escape their destinies and everything is coming full circle.

I wonder who the Asian temple guy was writting to on the typewriter?

Bring on Widmore! I want to know his role in all this!!

    agree 100%

although I was not thrilled with last nights episode
I really dont need to see sawyer being a sad sack-while seeing previews for Juliets new show
I want more action! and I want to know when Sun and Jin will finally reconnect-finale perhaps?
  • I thought last night's episode was really weak. I am not a fan of Kate-centric episodes. They seem to go no where. She is great as a go between for Jack and Sawyer but as a stand alone plot line, ehhhh.

More questions than answers and like we saw in last week's episodes there is a big sand clock and time is running out.

The only plus to me was Ethan as a sweetheart doctor.
BTW, why would Claire get back in the cab with a gun toting Kate?

It took me awhile, but I finally put two and two together (maybe) and connected the "infection" that Dogan claims is in Sayid to the "sickness" that Russou (sp?) talked about. The sickness that infected the French crew except for Danielle. The sickness that made the French crew want to kill eachother and Danielle.

  • One of the weakest episodes of all time. And considering this is the final season with so many questions, we don't really have time for this. :?

THANK YOU! I can't think of any of the Kate episodes that have been outstanding. But one of many things that bugged me last night was Claire accepting a ride from the person who had hijacked her at gunpoint. :wtf: Srysly, people!

I got a big kick out of Ethan as a good guy, in part because it was unsettling at first. But he also has his parents' last name now. As I said in last season's thread, my last name just happens to be Goodspeed. So when Ethan introduced himself as Dr. Goodspeed, my prince and I just looked at each other and howled!

Yeah, I picked up on that. I remember Rousseau talking about how she had to kill them because they were infected.
Maybe Sayid will develop a dark(er) side. Wonder what's going to happen to him in the other universe.

i agree with you guys that it was one of the weaker episodes. i usually love kate but she was annoying last night. and even more far-fetched than claire getting back in the cab with kate was the idea that kate would go back to give her her stuff in the first place...just thought that whole thing was kind of dumb.

i read in an interview where emilie de ravin said she's excited to play another side of claire this season - guess it's her dark side that we'll be seeing!

I have a question and I'm kind of new to watching. In the scenes when Kate is driving Claire around Los Angeles, what year is it supposed to be. Is it supposed to be taking place in the same time frame as the all the things on the island?

I am not sure how many of you are familiar with the actor John Hawkes, but he is the translator/right hand man to the Asian temple leader. He is a fantastic actor. Played a major role in the HBO series "Deadwood" and really impressed me. He is an outstanding addition to the Lost cast.

He kind of looks an hippie version of John Lennon.

Yeah I thought it was just ok. Too much of this show is people walking through the jungle, beach, etc. with not a lot happening.

The stuff at the end about the "darkness" inside Sayid was interesting. I'm not a fan of this new group of people showing up now. I haven't read Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, except for the first book, but I have heard that he introduces a lot of new characters late in the game when it is really time to start finishing the arc of the characters that have been building. I feel like this is happening here.

I recognize him from "From Dusk Till Dawn" as the clerk at the beginning.

Isn't John Lennon already a hippie?
