    Another Nova loss?

They'll be lucky if they make the NIT

Pitino with the white suit last night, not a good choice for someone who likes Italian food so much, oh wait Slick Rick doesn't like the traditional Italian fare. Could have used them beating Cuse in the battle of 2/3 of biggest scumbag coaches in the Big East, with Calhoun being the other.

    Calhoun
    - His not a dime less comment, guy just came across as an asshole. But mostly his and UCONNS whole we will do this as our punishment if we can get to play in the 2013 tourney. NOPE doesn't work that way, and glad the NCAA didn't give in to their bs plea bargin. You do the crime, you pay the time. No tourney next year. No problem at all with teams that get banned from the tourney for academic reasons. About time we remember that STUDENT comes first in student athlete.

    Pitino
    - The Karen Sypher thing, nuff said.

    Boehiem
    - The Bernie Fine thing, and I really lost respect for him a few years ago when his Cuse team just missed the tourney and he whined like a little bitch that their should be more teams in the tourney (hell no there shouldn't, more on that later). He coaches at one of the top programs in the country and gets top recruiting classes each year, how bout you just do a better job, win more games, and get in that way?

No way we need more teams in the tourney. I'm not interested in seeing a team that finished in the bottom half of a BCS conference play in the tourney, just like I'm not interested in a team with a sub .500 conference record playing in a bowl game, it's absurd. I preferred the 64 field to the 65 or 68 one. The play in games should be between all bubble teams, not any team that won their conf tourney, imo.

If you consider that scumbag status, you'll need a better argument than that to call Calhoun a scumbag; Pitino and Boeheim are definitions of scumbags. I'm sorry if a coach has the balls to stand up to the NCAA. Calhoun makes no effort to make friends with the NCAA heads and the officials.

Why punish a school for academics that happened during the 2009-2010 year? Makes no sense that they have to miss the tournament because of that team and school year. These kids had nothing to do with the players from then. That team didn't even make the tournament that season. UConn has punished itself already by offering two less scholarships than the NCAA proposed for two seasons because of the Nate Miles incident. even though he never put on the uniform.

Great win for Marquette tonight! Gotta love Buzz Williams standing to his guns and suspending guys for breaking team rules and the team still winning the game. Also LOVED him dancing on the court after the win and hearing West Virginia fans booing. PRICELESS!!

Are you fuckin kidding me??!!  One of the worst no-calls I have ever seen. The Syracuse guy pulled Roscoe Smith down as he was taking the shot and the ref is just looking at him. That ref is lucky Calhoun wasn't coaching tonight.

Hey Big East fans, I need some input here. As we get near to the tourney, which as you all know is also the annual choke fest for Big East teams, which teams will be out in round 1 and 2? The pre-tourney hype always helps my brackets because the others in the pool pick the conference to do well. So, any suggestions?

Does "Go Beavers" refer to Oregon State? If so, I think it's about time you make your way out of this thread.

And the other 9 teams that didn't make the sweet 16? I'm expecting a repeat of that stellar performance, so which teams will it be?

is this game making anyone else sad that it's literally the last time either will be playing an epic battle in the garden in march? as for the big east choking in the tourny that's silly there are 68 teams or whatever and only 1 that wins. should we say that all the other conferences choked too because they didn't win the title?
