I know there are a few of us alums and fans of the various schools and there was a thread on the previous version of this board. I'm hoping St. John's can at least get in the NIT, they have numerous players in their third year and some decent newcomers from what I've read.

Freshman at UConn. Wondering to see how UConn will do without Thabeet, Price, and Adrien. I just wish Thabeet stayed for his senior year to get better for the NBA. They looked solid tonight, but it's still early to tell. Onto the NIT Season Tip Off Monday!

No. I was home, right in my bed with the cold (hoping it's just that and nothing more) but never miss a game on TV, unless I go to one. Jerome Dyson was great. Had like 27 points. Stanley Robinson and Kemba Walker did good, too. The freshman contributed a little bit.

Hoping that the reigning champion Cardinals have another great year. Got a lot of young players this year, but they should be solid.

The Big East is hands down the toughest conference in all of College Basketball. I think it was last year they had a record number of teams in the Top 25. So it should be an exciting year again in the conference. Go UConn!

Go NOVA! I've also always liked Georgetown for some reason since i was in middle school or high school.

Also am partial to St. Joe's (dad went there) and Temple. I know not Big East teams.

I think we're gonna be good. Definitely gonna get our leadership from our Guards. We're a little young on the inside...but Samuels has come a long way from last year.

Well reloading is better than constantly rebuilding, like St. John's... And Steve your season began the other night against William and Mary.

Interesting game tonight watching Hofstra try to take out UCONN. Hofstra relied too much on the three and Jerome Dyson was too much.

the college preview magazine I bought had Syracuse slotted for ninth, I found that hard to believe and even more so after seeing their performances against Cal and North Carolina. Wesley Johnson, the transfer from Iowa State, looks like a big-time player.

Also, not including Providence's game and South Florida's game, the Big East has yet to lose a game.

agreed on both and they should kick out st johns too. my god do they suck. norm roberts has destroyed that program and yet he continues to coach at st. johns.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

St. John's will never be kicked out and nor should they. Northwestern is consistently bad and you don't see the Big 10 rushing to kick them out and plus the conference has other sports and St. John's is consistently good in soccer and baseball.

And yes I know that St. John's squeaked by St. Bonaventure and Brown, but I'm impressed with how they handled the games in Philadelphia, especially against Temple winning a game where they shot they under 35 percent. In my book 5-0 is 5-0 especially considering where St. John's has been recently.

Louisville lost yesterday (I'm from The Ville) but we always lose a few early games (this exact game this time last year)

I like our chances this year, our guards can play with anyone. Defensively I'll take Preston K. over anyone in college basketball.

Orange crush still rollin'!!! The Thursday Florida game should be a good one.

When did the 'Cuse start playing GOOD teams this early in the season? ;) Cal, UNC, and now Florida. Playing all these top teams before the conference schedule is somewhat new.
