Between these and my RSD purchases I am officially out of shelf space. I also preordered the new Foo Fighters. I guess I am going to IKEA.

I started putting some of my LP's downstairs in the basement thinking that maybe my wife wouldn't notice that I was out of space upstairs....

    I was wrong.  =)

At least you have a downstairs. I live in a very small NYC apartment. I will have to rearrange furniture to fit in some new shelf space - Either that or box up some of the records I rarely listen to anymore. But I would hate to do that.

I didn't realize they have a new record coming.  Everything since Wasted Light has been terrible IMO. I hope they come back strong.  Wasted was awesome though.

Foos have always been more of a singles band with a handful of good to great albums sprinkled in the mix. I'd say third debut, There is Nothing Left To Lose, and Wasting Light are by far their best full albums but at least the other albums produced memorable anthems as well for the most part.

Right,  exactly.  They are not a "deep cut" band.

I think Wasting is their most complete record.  White Limo is the only song I don't care for on the record.

Both, yesterday!  That promo version of "Alive" is hot stuff- great mix!

And what a treat to hear some Coryell I haven't heard in forever (I'm must have heard this at some point but honestly don't remember).  Larry was an amazing guitarist and all the band members here are fine, especially Alphonse Mouzon- what an amazing drummer he was!  My only criticism is Randy Becker's use of wah pedal with his trumpet (fortunately only a few times).  Miles Davis made it interesting for a short time- everybody else who tried it was just kind of several steps behind.
Oh, and the matching-to-the-cover color on the vinyl is a trip!

Great album!  If you like that one, maybe check out his posthumous double LP,  Bambu (The Caribou Sessions)- it's great (I might even go so far as to say slightly better).

Some recent pickups. The Avett album was from a damaged cover sale, but scored it for $10 and the discs are perfect, so who cares what the sleeve looks like.

Nice batch there!  Would be interesting to hear the live Bad Company.  Love their classic first album!

Local 49 cent record digging hole. "We had three crates come in a few days ago of classic rock. All gone"  there were a few I didn't see before but they were musty and had funk growing on them...maybe the whole batch was like that.
    Whatever...
